Murray Lake is an Australian record producer, mix engineer and founder of Séntir Studio. With his keen ear and innate artistic curiosity, Lake has cemented himself as one of the country’s most exciting industry talents, synonymous with tactile, analog sound, and has worked with Artists the likes of Anderson .Paak, Theophilus London, Nina Kraviz, Boys Noize, MK and Freddie Gibbs.

Lake’s early years were spent DJing in prominent local and international venues, however he soon realised his passion lay in ideation and sound production. Eager to progress his own understanding of writing and music construction, Lake studied classical composition at Sydney’s prestigious Conservatorium of Music. Concurrently, he has honed his craft working closely with a number of notable Australian and international artists such as The Free Nationals and Touch Sensitive.

In 2016, Lake remixed Guillaume Teyssier’s “Vortex Disco”, which was subsequently released by respected French record label, Tigersushi. The track was selected by preeminent French agnès b as the opening music to her Paris Fashion Week runway show. Tigersushi’s stamp of approval compelled Lake to seek out other sonically simpatico music talents, and he has since worked alongside icons such as Jamie Lidell, Monika and the Bulgarian Symphony Orchestra.

A chance connection with French DJ and producer Philippe Zdar soon developed into a formative frienship, and in 2018 Lake seized an opportunity to join Zdar in the South of France, immersing himself in all of the late composer and producer’s teachings. 

Upon returning to Australia Lake recorded with local artists, before embarking upon the design and construction of his second studio. Brought to life over three years - in the midst of COVID-19 - Séntir is the physical expression of Lake’s experience, expertise and sought-after approach to production and mixing. 

The way Lake works the room, Séntir becomes an integral instrument of its own.

Acid Washed is a collective process primarily, deteriorating sounds amongst souvenirs, friends, home studios and analogue equipment. It follows the blueprint devised over the past year by DJ’s keen on using modern and vintage equipment to create sophisticated electronics with a sharp pop aesthetic.

A label founded by French electronic music producer and DJ, Yuksek.

Independency is a key word for Partyfine. From the will to participate in every production level of an artist - recording, mixing, mastering and distributing, all from under the roof of Yuksek's studio in Reims, France. Far from any style diktat, one of Partyfine's aims is to present Yuksek's diverse musical tastes, from disco to electro, indie to club.

Beyond all, Partyfine was born to gather a family of talented musicians, who can collaborate together around a defined concept using their own backgrounds and desires, releasing great music and throwing down some serious parties.

Yuksek explains, "The label is a natural extension of my past years where I have produced for other artists. I met many of Partyfine's collaborators this way (JD Samson, The Magician, Oh Land, Juveniles etc) and just felt like extending the experience, writing music with them, not just for them".
