Take it out into a bowl, then stir in the relief and euphoria. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Use this Route 8 blend to spice up the dance floor. 💃

This Is Our Time welcomes & embraces Dj Chrysalis from Melbourne into its ranks with a tight hug upon his new EP, 'Just Passing Through'. For this release, Chris' mantra was 'the garden is in charge, we're just passing through', consequently, it's not merely an invitation to dance, but to a cheerful escape from the urban hustle.

The EP opens with 'Breathe', a meditative pacesetter that, right from the start, encourages you to embrace being the instrument of the notes and rhythm flowing through you. A playful backbone for any cleverly constructed dj set. We follow it up with the happy-go-lucky stomper that is 'The Day After Techworld', imagining a stroll along the banks of the Yarra River with this one, making our way to an after-party for Melbourne tech-heads.

As we reach the B-side, we aim for the higher state of minds with 'Babycake.' Fluttering breaks and dominant acidic pads balance amidst the heavy dripping of sound drops. This is the last dance of the dawn, knock the chip out of your third eye. Today we have the pleasure of bringing you a real doozy from New Zealand's own 2XM. Their track "On My Skin" exemplifies everything this immaculate duo hare known for. It's precise, warm, and grooving. A skittering, propulsive beat carries the tune while warbling, moody jazz chords and funk flourishes paint a pretty picture indeed. Combine that with their uncanny ability to pick and employ a vocal sample and you've got an excellent track in our humble opinion. This track and several others are available now on the just released third volume of The Blaq Bunch on Blaq Numbers. Grab yourself a copy of the limited cassettes while they last. With ‘In The Heat Of Passion’ he serves sweet arpeggio sundae with lustful house vocals on the top and with ‘Dance Floor Beat’ he takes you back to ‘88 to a proper new beat party in Belgium. He collaborates with his label partner and longtime dj mate Soundbank as This Is 
Our Soundsystem on ‘Ziza In Space’, an ethereal cosmic trip with bubbling sounds & quirky synth flutes.
