Born and bred in Southern California, Matt Egbert has grown up in a blender of different music. He grew up learning how to play blues and classical guitar until landing on electronic music at the age of 17. Since then, house music has become his true calling—Matt's distinct sound has earned him releases on respected labels like What’s NxT, Do Not Sleep, Short Circuit, Desert Hearts, Percomaniacs, and more. His tracks have also resonated on dance floors across the globe, championed by industry heavyweights such as Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, and too many others to name.

Beyond producing and DJing, Matt is the founder of Front Left Recordings—a forward-thinking house and techno record label and event series. Front Left has hosted cutting-edge events in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City, and Miami, featuring top-tier talent including Enzo Siragusa, Sidney Charles, wAFF, Kepler, East End Dubs, and many others. On the label side, Front Left Recordings drops a release each month from artists all around the world, boasting quite an impressive discography and artist roster.
