Born and bred in Southern California, Matt Egbert has grown up in a blender of different music. He grew up learning how to play blues and classical guitar until landing on electronic music at the age of 17. Since then, house music has become his true calling—Matt's distinct sound has earned him releases on respected labels like What’s NxT, Do Not Sleep, Short Circuit, Desert Hearts, Percomaniacs, and more. His tracks have also resonated on dance floors across the globe, championed by industry heavyweights such as Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, and too many others to name.

Beyond producing and DJing, Matt is the founder of Front Left Recordings—a forward-thinking house and techno record label and event series. Front Left has hosted cutting-edge events in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City, and Miami, featuring top-tier talent including Enzo Siragusa, Sidney Charles, wAFF, Kepler, East End Dubs, and many others. On the label side, Front Left Recordings drops a release each month from artists all around the world, boasting quite an impressive discography and artist roster.

Alex nació en una familia de artistas desde su abuela pintora a su padre músico y coleccionista de vinilos. Eso le impulsó a comprar discos y después de unos años empezó a compartir cabina con grandes de la electrónica como Richie Hawtin o Marco Carola entre otros haciéndose así un hueco en la escena electrónica de Barcelona.

En 2013 se convirtió en residente de Ker Club y con elrow en Barcelona y en la mítica Space Ibiza.

Después de unos años viajando por Europa tocando en ciudades como Berlín, UK, Frankfurt, Bucharest, Madrid, Turin, Marsella, Budapest y haciendo giras por Sudamérica, cosechó grandes actuaciones junto a Ion Pananides en fiestas como Cocoon, Pyramid en la famosa terraza de Amnesia donde es asiduo, hasta pinchar en festivales como Monegros Desert Festival, Días de Campo, Brunch Festival, FIB Festival…

Sus raíces son el funk, el house y el techno, todos en su más pura esencia que hacen que sus sesiones estén llenas de sonidos frescos, dinámicos y con toques ácidos. La intencionada buena mezcla de todo ello no deja indiferente a nadie en sus eclécticas sesiones.

Welcome back to Groove Theory. For our 25th episode, I'm excited to feature a rising talent from São Paulo's vibrant electronic music scene: Canavezzi. 

Canavezzi began his musical career from an early age. With a diverse musical base, he perfected his craft in various genres. Since 2016, Canavezzi has been directing his creativity to the world of electronic music, especially shaping his space in the universe of Minimal music. Notorious for its ability to combine various influences and styles, Canavezzi’s music has a unique signature, revealing a sound that mixes atmospheric and mystical elements in its tracks and mixes.

For this episode, Canavezzi delivers a sonic journey that begins in an introspective and restrained atmosphere, where minimalist elements build a magnetic and immersive tension. As the set unfolds, the energy grows organically, with smooth transitions revealing deep and rhythmic layers.
