LIAS’ songs, like pages in a diary, unravel stories of self-discovery and craft a sonic canvas that captures the essence of life's melancholy. With his upcoming EP ‘Funeral of a Choir Boy’ he creates a testament to the power of introspection and the courage to find your true purpose.
Building on the success of his 2022 debut studio EP 'Run Boy Run', where he delves into the relatable void of heartbreak, loss, and his battle with depression, LIAS' sophomore EP invites listeners to join him as he explores the melancholy of new beginnings in the reflection of his past.
The German singer-songwriter with Dutch roots and a classical vocal education started his musical journey as a boy soloist, performing with world-renowned artists such as Jose Carreras and the orchestra of the Bavarian State Opera on the world’s greatest stages: from Ecuador to the Vatican with Pope Benedict XVI. However, growing up he felt the desire to break free from the conservatism of this classical world and his upbringing in order to express his own inner universe. First liberating steps brought him to songwriting, and after detours in various industries, including investment banking and the Berlin start-up world, he found his way back to making music and began performing and releasing his own songs.
