I like that old school sound pretty much in everything, whether that'd be Hip Hop (first love), Jungle or Jazz. Although I like a variety of music I'm mostly concentrating on breaks and grooves, chasing that 1998 sound. Doesn't mean I'm averse to experiments, new styles and different sh*t.

I'm an east London producer, song writer, sound designer and vocalist. 'Fluff' is my solo project. (I'm the other half of trip-hop duo www.soundcloud.com/silverstreaks). 

Fluff-music combines traditional songwriting, indie, electronic, goth, ethereal/synth pop and experimental/cinematic sound design into powerful, emotional sound scapes. Manipulated field recordings and audio textures add suggestive sounds to evoke raw and visceral emotions in the listener. 

Influences: 
Indie/art rock, darkwave and the electroclash scene in the mid 00s.

'Down the Rabbit Hole' is a reflection on our world as it is today. Greedy, destructive, homogenised, selfish and exploitative. But we're resilient creatures. There are some fun, light-hearted tongue-in-cheek stories of adaptation and survival by becoming pretty fabulous.

A dark, sonic post-apocalyptic nightmare vision, dealing with events of the recent past, present and not so distant future: Social apathy, lethargy and indifference, public obedience, compliance and conformity, social paranoia, genetic mutations, nuclear threat, post apocalypse and human extinction.

Maneesh the Twister is founder of Surya Dub, the Ambassadors of Dread Bass. He has brought together dubwize communities from Roots & Dub Reggae to Dubstep and Ragga to Dread Bass, UK Funky, Tropical, and Drum'n'Bass to Bhangra, S. Asian Electronica and Global Bass Beat worlds together.  Surya Dub has won Best Club Night in the SF Weekly Music Awards & Best Ambassadors of Dread Bass from SF Guardian Best of the Bay.  Also Maneesh was awarded the Best Club DJ of San Francisco by the SF Bay Guardian! He is also a resident of the longest running weekly dub & roots night in the World, Dub Mission, which is 21+ years and dubbing!
