/AMBIANCE\ it is not a lie this project began as a strictly tape cassette experiment.

/AMBIANCE\ is one of other musical projects by a Nicaraguan artist living in Los Angeles. Grew up in Miami, Florida....surrounded by cuban music and booty bass. thats where the love for electro, new wave, freestyle and bass began. in the meantime, J. picks up the saxophone and begins to learn music through friends and musician parents of friends.... soon playing in...concert band, ska band, rock band, jazz bands, wedding bands, with DJs, in pop bands etc etc etc.....

Moved to New York to study jazz saxophone...did that for a couple years...moved back to Miami where J continued to produce and write music. Toured for 3 years with Maynard Ferguson, a jazz trumpeter, all the time writing and producing music. Moved back to NY to write music for friends videos. Got into the scoring for image and commercials. Got involved in all aspects of art...performance, film, slides, collage, installation, the avant-garde and surreal. had a couple of bands.... 2s and 4s (a 5 piece avant-jazz group). Something in Spanish/Miami Drive (a electro duo with singer Michelle Perez)....played and recorded with/in friends bands. 

After about 10 years in NY, having undergone a transformative life experience....J decided to start a purely, analogue, live and into cassette..... 

J, performing as /AMBIANCE\ in NY for a year or 2 

Moved to Los Angeles had not performed live for a bit, so started next project, COMEGATOS, still using analogue electronics but not using cassette tape. J, was honored to have released his very first EP ever, through one of his favorite producers label, Disque Discos, run by el Don ispiratore, Alec Sander. 3 tracks / 3 videos. At the same time J decided to rerecord all the /AMBIANCE\ material again, without using cassette tape so how he has the LOFI and HIFI versions. Making music for commercials and stuff, producing electronic music as /AMBIANCE\ and COMEGATOS and deeply learning some of his favorite jazz standards with friends and playing free jazz.....lives with his girlfriend a in a guest house in the Hollywood Hills...trying to make friends. Oh and has a little doggie, Lula.

/AMBIANCE\ - LIVE TWO [Kyma Komplex]

Roam alumni Silicodisco returns with Spanish compatriot Xácome to bring forth their Estas Loco EP. All tracks drive a strong psychedelic post wave sound forward starting with Rusty Grass - a gritty yet dreamy offering. The title track Estas Loco continues with the stripped down 80s synth themes found throughout the EP. Mind Panic fits in perfectly taking the vibe further with its rolling bass and ethereal soundscapes. Rounding out the EP is an excellent in-the-pocket remix from Chinaski.

Summer is over and the end of 2022 is rushing up to meet us. But we’re just getting started with Throne of Blood’s anniversary releases. Hot on the heels of EP 1 featuring Chloé, Joakim & Max Pask, Justin Cudmore, and Liona, we return with the second blitz of special material for EP 2.

Kicking things off is label fixture and A Love From Outer Space maestro Sean Johnston in his Hardway Bros guise with “The Other Side,” which was the very first song submitted for this series composed in the wake of Andrew Weatherall’s passing. Having been roadtested extensively in pandemic-era ALFOS EBS livestreams, it is finally available to all. 

Rounding things out are tracks from Hapa, a duo of NYC underground stalwarts, Takaya Nagase (Joy) and Eric Pecoraro aka Eric From America (Chomp Chomp Records),new wave acid punk Curses (Ombra International), and West Coast legends Split Secs, 

From slow motion atmosphers to warehouse smashers, EP2 showcases a wide range of sounds and influences that build on our dedication to forward-looking sounds rooted in the history of leftfield dance music. Dig in!

Sin preámbulos, el track pisa fuerte desde el primer segundo. "Origins" nació para prender la pista al instante. Esto se debe a lo contundente que se siente su estructura, sumado a una expectativa constante. Tiene sus bajadas de intensidad, pero siempre te mantiene enganchado.

Forma parte del séptimo lanzamiento de Slow Cycle Records y está protagonizado por Silicodisco y Parissior. La entrega contiene dos tracks originales y un remix por el productor mexicano Ulises Arrieta.
