Throne of Blood continues the anniversary onslaught with the third of four EPs of new and exclusive jams from friends new and old. Following on from the first two Anniversary EPs which featured contributions from Joakim, Chloé, Justin Cudmore, Curses, Hardway Bros and more we deliver more dancefloor material from Pleasure Planet, Man Power, Danse Alice and Teleseen.

EP 3 kicks off with Sisters, all big rave energy owing a big debt to Pleasure Planet’s Kim Ann Foxman, Andrew Potter, and Brian Hersey’s memories of countless pilled-out 90’s era nights. In contrast, Danse Alice, a new project from dear friend and collaborator Remain (Meant Records) come with a slow motion groover, an emotional score for the comedown. Look for more music from this Marseilles-based duo coming soon on Lumiere Noire and Ombra Intl.

Rounding things out is an absolutely monstrous breakbeat banger from Newcastle’s Man Power, an homage to everything awesome about Chemical Brothers and the beautifully groovy “Sacambu” from our friend and long-time champion of the label, Teleseen. 

It's an EP of contrasts, another way to resist pigeonholing what Throne of Blood has stood for over the past sixteen years and a refusal to chase any single sound, scene or trend as we look to the future…

Russo

Nascido no Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo Rosalinski Russomano começou a tocar no seu projeto solo no fim de 2019, projeto pelo qual ele se dedica até hoje. Durante o gap pandêmico, o DJ se tornou Produtor musical e Geofísico.

Russo apega-se aos gêneros Disco e House em suas apresentações, principalmente pelos instrumentos de corda e sopro, como violinos e trompas, e a atmosfera alegre que esses proporcionam. Como geofísico, suas produções são muito voltadas à física e á técnica do processamento de sinais, proporcionando uma visão especial sobre as oscilações que compõem os sinais digitais da musica eletrônica.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Bernardo Russo started playing in his solo project at the end of 2019, a project he is still dedicated till today. During the pandemic gap, the DJ became a Music Producer and Geophysicist.

Russo sticks to the Disco and House genres in his performances, mainly due to string and wind instruments, such as violins and horns, and the happy atmosphere they provide. As a geophysicist, his productions are very focused on physics and the technique of signal processing, providing a special insight into the oscillations that make up the digital signals of electronic music.

Betty delivers club-oriented dance mixes tinged with indie dance and dark disco, while adding some new wave. Her inspiration comes from bands such as Depeche Mode and The Cure, which she particularly likes.
Betty is a night owl… She started to work in the night life at the end of the 80's in the trendiest clubs and bars of Lyon such as La Centrale, Haute-Tension, Le Fridge, as a barmaid or party organizer, then at L'Exit, a famous techno bar she managed, but also for the mythical parties I love Boys, Enjoy and Wake Up. 
In 1995, she moved behind the decks and learnt to mix on vinyl alone in her bar every night after closing. 
Now, even if she has left the night life, she’s so passionate about music she decided to move towards production. She’s in fact the half of the duo @nouveaufutur who released some tracks on Mélopée Records, Crave Tapes Records and Espacio Cielo. 
Finally, she’s currently preparing her next solo release.
