L'épopée intersidérale se poursuit vitesse lumière en 2023 et c'est Ansonica qui prend cette fois-ci les rênes du traîneau envouté. Son récent set pour Bordello a Parigi a été un véritable coup de coeur et nous tenions à partager son univers aux sonorités sombres et hypnotiques. Tecwaa is the solo project from York-based musician & DJ Paul Fawcett. With broad influences from early noughties Yorkshire raves, Detroit Techno & horror movie scores, the producer’s sounds are hard to pin down and bracket to any one particular genre. 

Exploring the intersections of chugging psychedelic, deep house, slow-disco & dub techno his evocative tracks specialize in that hard to pigeonhole late night/early morning sound, upending club dancefloors and soundtracking afterparty sunrises. That breadth is reflected in the four originals he’s crafted for MeO Notion, from mid-tempo acid breaks on “Many Fallen Skies” and “Solaris” to hyperspeed almost-jungle via “Long Past the Echoes,” and the utterly halucinogenic digi skank of “Î Terra Dub.”

With two mind-melting LPs for Scando powerhouse Höga Nord Rekords, as well as singles for Les Yeux Orange, Futureboogie and now Throne of Blood to name a few, we’re so glad to kick off 2023 with Tecwaa’s latest and dare we say greatest release yet.

All tracks mastered by the one and only Justin Vandervolgen.

Fronted by Bradley Lucke and Mark Crooks, UK collective Statues has definitely established in the MM Discos family signing the last release by doing a very special tribute to the sun.

"Lost Star", the EP's title track, constantly pursues that dreamy feeling proposed in the first track, although it escapes into a much more organic but equally psychedelic terrain.

Marshall Watson and Cole Odin take a break from their solo output to come together on the ‘Just A Daydream Away’ EP, each delivering two unique original tracks comprised of chugging psychedelia, folky rock elements and sun dappled balearica. Remixes come in the form of Hardway Bros. whose refit channels an early nineties indie-dance rework, coming across like a classic lost Screamadelica track. The second remix from Joe Morris leans into the psychedelia, delivering an acid soaked sunrise experience.
