« Introduced to fans as a member of electronic band Club Cheval, Myd learned through tireless work and experimentation. It was a passionate environment upon which to build a foundation, yet there are always concessions and compromises involved with pleasing a group. After co-producing Brodinski’s album Brava and making beats for a host of rappers, Myd now stands on his own, unabashedly showcasing his eccentric flair, even singing on his own tracks. At times, his music is fun and flirty, other times thoughtful, dreamy and warm with intergalactic fuzz. It's intimate, dripping with synth-heavy shine, and in its weathered corners and rich textures, lies the autobiography of Myd – at least in this moment. But even more since he joined Pedro Winter's clan at Ed Banger records. « Yung Prado is part of the leading collective of the electronic scene in Barcelona. He has released references on international labels such as MMODEMM Frankfurt and Young Ethics by Dj Seinfeld. His debut "What's Up?" It has played both at major events such as the Boiler Room x Telekom Electronic Beats Budapest 2020 and on the prestigious NTS Radio in London. His party-focused rhythms, combined with hypnotic vocals, have become his letter of introduction. The eclectic artist has been making waves within his local scene and beyond, with greats at events like Brunch In The Park Madrid, Parc Del Forum Barcelona and also at events with his Mainline collective.

Myd, Yung Prado & Laurence Guy | Cracki Station

Mohamed Maks (nicknamed as Maks from childhood) was born in the capital of the United Kingdom, London, in the year 1988 to Egyptian immigrant parents.
When Maks was in school, he began to play the drums and other percussion instruments, influenced by his native rhythmic music culture. Though his love for music was clear, he never considered himself as a musician. In the early 2000’s, he began to collect records and featured for local youth foundation events ‘Bigga Fish’ as well as appearing on popular pirate radio station ‘Passion FM.’ In his early days, Maks was influenced from growing up in the garage and jungle music environment. Today, he takes inspiration from Chilean electronic dance music visionary Ricardo Villalobos, as well as other artists such as minimal techno innovator Richie Hawtin, ‘Perlon’ label co-founder Thomas Franzmann aka Zip, ‘Minibar’ label head Cabanne, and ‘Fabric’ and ‘Houghton Festival’ curator and resident DJ Craig Richards.
After 25 years in London, Maks moved to the Middle-East, quickly establishing himself as a leading artist and influential figure in the growing regional electronic dance music scene. Viewed by many as the originator of minimal and microhouse music in the region, Maks paved the way by inviting, and collaborating with, some of his favourite artists from Europe and around the world, most of which had never appeared regionally before.
At the end of the decade, Maks founded ‘Deserted’, a record label curated by his own interest and vision of music. The first release is planned to appear during the winter of 2023.

Future Funk is a journey through time. Inspired mostly by gems from the 80ies, 90ies and different parts of the world. I always keep exploring and finding inspiration in different places.
Most of the tracks on the album stuck with me for years and it felt that they were now ripe enough to release on the first Moiety album after many different releases spread over the years.
