He developed the tool that went on to change the art of DJing (Final Scratch), established a seminal club night in Ibiza (ENTER.), built a veritable techno empire (M_nus), and most importantly, released some of the most memorable music in techno history. Now the latter doesn’t happen all too often these days, so we’re even more excited to present a brand new recording under a new alias, 80XX. ‘Crawlr’ is one of four 80XX tracks recorded in Berlin this year to coincide with the release of Hawtin’s new album, From My Mind To Yours – a raw banger that channels the energy of the early ‘90s while demonstrating how this Red Bull Music

SCI+TEC welcome Parisian producer Marwan Sabb to the family with the excellent "Tsar System" EP.  

Having first come to prominence through his releases on Time Has Changed, the young French/Tunisian artist has steadily crafted his own sound and style. It’s his minimal mastery that has garnered the attention of many and with his latest double-header he continues to impress.  

“Tsar" is the perfect tool for the DJ. Peaking at nearly 11minutes and with an unrelenting, steady and strong groove, its simplicity is its strength. On the flip, “Dante" delivers fluid movement. It’s Toms and soft bassline, together with the chopped vocal, create an impressive and effortless flow. Mysterious, yet with no menace, its a track that you can easily get lost within.

<p>Ilija brings synth warfare to the table in these two tracks and &#8220;Delusion&#8221; kicks in with a crisp rhythm section, soaring electronics and a lengthy breakdown that is prone for mayhem. Things continue in the same vein on &#8220;Syndrome&#8221;, yet with a slightly more mystical vibe. Haunting atmospherics and intricate programming pave the road to euphoric arpeggios, as yet another grand breakdown ensures maximum impact.</p>

The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it’s all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil’s remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil’s signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.

It’s been two years since the release of “Eyes” - the debut single from Borneland featuring Line Gøttsche. Friday the 24th of February 2017 the brothers are back, and Music For Dreams are proud to release two sublime remixes of the beautiful track.
Eyes was the follow up of “Bug A Boo (Borneland Remix)” - a reworking of Destiny’s Child all-time classic ‘Bug A Boo’ featured on MTV and Billboard. The original track combines classic keyboard sounds individually championed by the brothers including Rhodes piano, Prophet 08 synth and characteristic SH-101 sub bass, with acoustic violin by Andreas Birk and soulful vocals by Line Gøttsche. This is a track that not only communicates the simplicity of life and the perdition of love for another person, it's fragile vocal and compelling beauty just sticks in your head. When talking about the roots of House music it’s impossible to ignore the importance of US cities like Detroit, New York and Chicago, but these are not the only US cities to have spawned pioneering producers and DJs linked to the genre. Baltimore was the home of the Basement Boys who released a number of seminal records in the early days of House music. Chris Clayton was a valued member of the Basement Boys who since leaving the group has continued to carve out a career under his solo alias of Karizma and KaytroniK. Chris is now best known to many as Karizma, a veteran DJ with 25 years of experience behind the decks and whose technical ability is second to none. Not only as a member of Pete Tong’s hallowed Radio 1 Hall Of Fame, he’s also a popular Boiler Room guest who regularly flies the globe as a headline DJ. Also a producer with a varied sound that reflects his eclectic range of influences, Karizma’s music has appeared on many of the world best labels ranging from Hyperdub to Defected.
