This open ended voyage begins upon the wings of ‘Magic Bird’ an interstellar ensemble of exotic yet strangely familiar atmosphere textures.  Waning wings stretch and unfurl, building tension before collapsing upon itself and bursting like a reborn phoenix, multidimensional discharge of swirling sub-stretching undulations breath and pulsate inwards and out.  Cascaded by the passing splashes of intricate weaving drum fills and heavenly harmonies, our swift journey completes itself within a sweet ambient embrace.

An oasis onto itself, ‘Aftertaste’ offers the weary traveler a lighthearted palette cleansing respite.  One can overhear live music comprised of tropical birdsongs, bright keyboard melodies, fuzzy funk bass lines, and the most talented island instrumentalists.  The ground beneath our feet distorts and wobbles away into a elusive mirage, as the jubilant display enraptures our senses and serves as a transformative journe.  All that remains is the fading taste of some pleasant dreamlike memory gone too soon.

We dive deep and “Immerse” ourselves in this breathtaking oceanic score.  This patient introduction gives one space to find themselves, as we open us to a wide open expansive view where panoramic tic tacs dance across the vast soundscape between our ears, layer upon layer envelopes and surrounds us until we’re completely intercepted by shimmering melodies and low end vibrations.  One to sit with and listen to over and over.

Presenting 'Décomposition', the second EP from Le Comte Champêtre on Outtallectuals, – an avant-garde sonic exploration that delves into the intricate tapestry of nature's transformative processes. Inspired by the organic decay of living matter and the intricate interplay of microorganisms, this project fuses elements of experimental electronic music with the raw essence of the natural world.

Embark on a journey through the undergrowth with tracks like "Entomophtora," "Histoplasma," and "Leucochloridium Paradoxum," where the pulsating rhythms mimic the unseen movements of decay and rebirth. Dive deeper into the cellular realm with "Meiosis" and "Mitosis," where intricate soundscapes intertwine with complex grooves, echoing the constant flux of life.

Yet, amidst the darkness of humus and forest floors, there is an undeniable beauty – a beauty captured in tracks like "Myiasis."; in this EP, folk-esque compositions emerge like delicate fungi, weaving a haunting melody that speaks to the cyclical nature of existence.

With a blend of world music instruments, intricate sound design, and a dash of folk inspiration, "Decomposition" invites listeners to immerse themselves in the symbiotic relationship between creation and decay. Dubduk is Em9’s first foray into Reggae Dub—layering classic dub grooves with rich, atmospheric textures and live wind instruments. Centered around the expressive sound of the Armenian duduk, the track blends organic and electronic elements to create a deep, meditative vibe. 

Em9 is spearheaded by @joelloopez; a composer, sound designer and producer based in Barcelona. Dubduk marks another step in Em9’s evolution from solo producer to full band, continuing the project’s exploration of global sounds through modern production.

Aside from his project as Em9, Joel Loopez creates original music for media, including soundtracks for films and video games, melodies for advertising and arrangements for independent artists.
