The next release, scheduled for 1 June March 2023, is the new single Maheo of Aston Alba, swiss producer born in the hear of the Alps of Valais. 

Self-taught, Aston Alba uses a variety of Middle Eastern instruments and rhythms to create a rich and detailed sound atmosphere.

Four remixes complete this summer release cruising from Spain to Mexico & Ecuador with a stopover in the east in Georgia. A first remix will be out on 1st of May 2023. 

This forthcoming EP has been written for everyone that needs to reconnect with the nature.

Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The best story in the book of Thousand Nights and One Night is the one in the City of Brass. A crew of explorers, after following a long path marked by sinister statues and a dark castle full of tombs, come to a walled city. On the outer walls they encounter charming young women, who on closer inspection reveal themselves to be cunningly constructed automatons meant to fool invaders into jumping off the walls to their deaths. A few of the men are killed before the illusion is discovered. The rest venture inside, where they find buildings of unbelievable opulence, with every surface seemingly covered in gold and jewels. But the city is ominously silent. The only inhabitants are human corpses, some still sitting in their homes and shops, giving the impression of life frozen in time. The party eventually reaches the city’s queen. Her sparkling eyes cause them to briefly mistake her for a living person, but they soon learn that she too is dead and that the light from her eyes comes from quicksilver placed there by an embalmer. A nearby inscription tells the whole story: the city was struck by a famine, and the people, once they had exhausted every effort to save themselves, went back to their places and awaited their fates. In the end, it’s a cautionary tale about the transience of wealth. Anber is a man of wisdom and true feelings. This is his fourth offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can give light to every dark story. K-os Theory, Max Tenrom and Chalanga live in the land of fairytales.

So instead of bringing the kites in, they cut the strings. As the kites were freed, a strong gust of wind burst from the sky. One by one, the butterflies and dragons disappeared as if flying home to the moon. As the kites vanished from sight, there was a sad sigh. No one spoke, but they all wished for an escape from tomorrow’s tragedy. Quietly, the family packed their belongings and began to climb down the mountain. They walked a long time, so long that the moon rose overhead and they began to shiver with cold. “Are we lost?” a child asked. “This does not look like the way home.” Desert Raven and MI.LA take the long road back to the land of beauty and warm feelings. This is their first collaboration offering for Shango Records. This track can give you the beauty of the sky and the peace of the sea. Cereus, Menori and Stephane Salerno play with butterflies and dragons in the valley of forever.
