e O is the shared moniker of sibling artists eleu and Olson, whose debut self-titled album ‘e O’ arrives as a beautifully blurred portrait of two inner worlds colliding. Raised on parallel but distinct soundtracks, their collaboration captures the hazy overlap of childhood memory and present-day influence—filtered through a language all of their own.

The record shimmers at the edges of genre, folding together fragments of ambient pop, left-field R&B, experimental electronics, and traces of shoegaze. Olson’s production is built from gently layered textures that ricochet and swell, creating a sense of movement that feels both precise and ineffable, while eleu navigates the album with intimate, delicate vocals. It’s music that feels like stepping into a dream already in progress.

e O draws from a palette of softness and distortion, of digital haze and real-world textures, echoing those in-between hours where clarity and feeling drift in and out of focus. A work of intuition and subtle transformation, this is a debut that doesn't introduce itself loudly—but lingers long after.

Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe met while record digging in Birmigham, UK. Recognizing a compatible taste by their pickings, the two decided to DJ together and soon were immersed in the circus that was early 2000s Leeds nightlife. By 2003, the duo had founded their own residency at Club Mint, named "Asylum" to reflect the evening's maddening diversity of guests. Everyone from Jazzy Jeff to Ricardo Villalobos shared the decks with the duo, by now having settled on the moniker PBR Streetgang. DJ Broadcast points out that while their name is lifted from cult classic war film Apocalypse Now, "the only shallow waters these two patrol, however, are those situated around Ibiza." Indeed, PBR that same year became residents world reknown party We Love… at Space in Ibiza. Working their way from one-offs in smaller rooms to eventually landing the closing slot, talent buyer Andy Lively remarks "they embody everything we look for in a We Love Space resident."

Beginning in 2008, the duo slowly but surely produced a slew of EPs and singles for the labels Red Music and 2020 Vision, the latter of which Bonar would go on to serve as assistant manager of A&R and head manager for remixes. By 2012, the duo had expanded to other notable labels coming out of the UK scene. Mixmag deemed their Futureboogie debut 'N-H-N' a "ridiculously repetitive acid gem", while their single 'Downstroke' for Hot Creations was praised by Resident Advisor for its "dark, oppressive, humid atmosphere." Not forgetting their roots, the 2020 Vision release 'At Dez' solidified the "PBR […] trademark production style that utilises their love of a body shaking baseline, crisp beats, quirky samples and a unifying groove," explains IDM Magazine.

The duo's remix output has been built up along the same trajectory as their originals, beginning with friends Crazy P and Maxxi Soundsystem, but soon growing outside of the UK dance world. This includes what Spin Magazine calls their "deliriously dancey" remix of Lana Del Rey's 'Ultraviolence.' Ten years in the making, these "technically sound selectors", according to Mixmag, have "secured spots at clubs and festivals the world over."

"This mix is a little bit different for us, it is meant as a sort of companion piece to our release on Lumberjacks In Hell on the 28th of September, something that helps frame the track in some kind of context. When we first started DJing together (before PBR existed ) nearly 20 years ago it was a little midweek playing US House & Garage all night, this was the central thread that started to tie us together. Now we’re more known for an eclectic style, never really sitting in one genre, but this is a love letter to that time and sound without being a greatest hits nostalgia reel. tici taci - bringing you electric funk rekkids at tempos below 120 bpm. No pre-packed freeze dried loops here, all tracks have live instruments well to the fore, from funky wah-wah guitars and deep chunky bass to temperamental analogue synthesisers and live percussion.

Now 2 years later (July 2015) we're at 23 releases from a range of artists and remixers, with one release scheduled each month.


Duncan Gray (biog) : Perhaps best known as one half of the Sons of Slough along with Ian Weatherall - see discogs entry for details of releases. The Sons were a formidable Live act (see You tube) playing regularly across the UK. DG's own releases also gained some popularity, starting with cuts for Scatological (1996) Blue Black, Whole9Yards, SaltHill, through to Aquamelon (2009). Since returning to music production in 2013 he has released tracks on NEIN, Eskimo, Blindetonation, Play Pal, Rock to The Beat, plus Andrew Weatherall's vinyl only Birdscarer label. He has played guitar on half a dozen AW remixes.

(don't just send a soundcloud link please) If you don't know what the sound of this label is like, don't bother sending me stuff. I get quite a few demos with a note saying "I love the sound of your label" from producers who have clearly never listened to any of our releases.
