Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

I’ve been following Müzmin (@m-zmin) for a looooong time and I absolutely love playing his tracks so having Müzmin on the show for the 21st edition means a lot, especially because we started working together recently as Müzmin will inaugurate the label I started recently with Lenson titled 'Fusion of Thought' with his EP 'Yucca'. Müzmin and I pre-recorded an interview in which we discuss Müzmin’s influences, techno in general, and he provided interesting insights on the tracks he did for ‘Yucca'. Müzmin also sent me a sick short mix and picked the (customary) final track of this Exercise. Enjoy!
