I wrote this song on May 30, 2021 during the Memorial Day weekend. It's an improvisational take on the famous military song "Taps". I played the "Taps" theme twice, improvised the middle section, and then ended with a slower and quieter version of the theme. When I first played the song, I knew I had to record it because it brought tears to my eyes. I dedicate this song to the servicemen and women who are currently serving or have served, and to those who lost their lives defending our country. Thank you for your service!

Our American Heroes

This is an original piano solo that came to me one day in Oct 2016 while I was improvising.  I thankfully recorded myself playing the melody and later wrote it down.  The melody is always the same but I improvise the middle section every time I play it. This song is dedicated to my wife Kathy.  Thank you for listening and I hope it inspires you :-)

This is the 2nd version of my piano solo that I recorded for my wife Kathy.  This version is a little over 3 minutes and is a slower tempo then the original recording.  The improvisation section is different then the 1st recording. I wrote this song in October 2016 after the melody came to one day while I was improvising on the piano.
