With humble beginnings in Diplo’s Philadelphia studio, Mad Decent’s unwavering mission is to highlight underground, genre-blurring sounds. Mad Decent tops iTunes, Beatport and Shazam charts worldwide with #1 Dance tracks and albums with releases from artists like Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Grandtheft, Party Favor, NGHTMRE and Yellow Claw. Mad Decent is also home to Good Enuff, a launchpad for artists breaking the norm; notable releases include Bauuer’s “Harlem Shake” and DJ Snake’s “Bird Machine.” As an extension of the Mad Decent sound, Mad Decent Block Party was established in 2006 and now spans across North America and India.

Peter Kinohou Curtis is native to Hawaii. He started his DJ career as a radio host back in 2009 when he was inspired by the eclectic sounds of trip hop and euro lounge. He saw a void in his small island for electronic music shows and started his own company, Bass Innovations LLC throwing organized outdoor raves across the Big Island. They were widely successful, but he wanted to dive deeper into the scene and who truly influenced it.

Answering the calling to the meaning of his middle name “new beginnings,” Kinohou moved to San Diego in 2014 and started to explore. Within a year, he has well acquainted himself to the majority of local DJs of SanDiego. He has shared the decks with the likes of Doc Martin, Ben Annand, Thee-O, Croatia Squad, Raxon, Marques Wyatt, Brad Moontribe, Cris Herrera, DJ Mark E Quark, and many more San Diego and L.A. Heavyweights.

As a sought out independent DJ, he has put Tropical Events, Dance Klassique, Souleil, House Music Friday’s, Soulwork Presents: Eden, Tis4Techno, Danksgiving, and other notables into the books. He plays primarily foreign music with a range of trippy deep tech house to groovy tribal to minimal techno, covering a wide range of 'basses' for urban and outdoor settings. He is sure to pick the proper vibe for his next show.
