Goodgroove Records and it's artists really began the era of Ghetto Funk and Slim Goodgroove himself started the Ghetto Funk brand along with another partner Will Lardner who back in the day also had a Nu Skool Breaks label called Streetwise Records. This mix from the now famous Featurecast is a showcase of some of the Goodgroove Records releases from back in the day, expertly mixed and still holds up today stylewise in the Funky Breaks scene. Friskie Business presents Funk The World 41

Experimentation is nothing new to SOOHAN, and yet, the borders to his musical journey seemingly have no boundary.

Touching down with his sixth full-length project, SOO SOO STUDIO, Soohan further erases walls between genre and blurs lines between original compositions and sampled material, all while diving into new musical territory. Sounds from classic American pop music, house, Baltimore club, and drum and bass blend with Soohan's distinct affinity for regional folk and dance music styles from around the world - a rededication to his mission of drawing the path from foreign to familiar.

At 13 tracks and just over an hour in running time, SOO SOO STUDIO marks Soohan's most diversely-sourced work to date. Unfolding as a journey through an array of seemingly incongruous influences, the sounds come together with effortless style, leading the listener through a meandering rush of sounds, culminating in a euphoric finish. A must-hear experience for fans of polyrhythmic dance, club music, and rhythms from beyond the western world.

GMT has a successful career outside of music but mixing tunes and making music has always been his passion, in his spare time he has mixed  a variety of dance music styles on the UK Underground free party scene for over 18 years, playing some of the biggest squat party venues in London and outdoor parties across England and parts of Europe, mostly with the Tribe of Munt but also on other well established sound systems, active from the late 90's up to today.
Musical inspirations are basically anything with a fat beat, mainly breaks, hip hop, disco, funk, jungle, D&B, big beat house, Techno - well anything really
