The mix exclusively features music made by those in our posts, with releases ranging from years 1993-2001 covering a range of styles. We loved putting this together - completely spontaneous and unplanned, we felt a different energy while recording and were so happy with the end result. The unstoppable transatlantic power force team up once again to kick off Banoffee Pies Records new white label series. 

Tim Reaper has firmly cemented himself as the go-to head within UK jungle and D’n’B scene over the last year, from the relentless output on labels such as Lobster Theremin, Hooversound and his own Future Retro London. Now returning with a new collaborative record with Toronto’s very own Comfort Zone, the pair have previously worked together via the UK label, Repertoire and London's Dalston Chillies.

Out next week, ‘Pacific’ is a beautiful cut taken from the EP with glistening downtempo reflective moments, sandwiched between the pair’s signature skittering breaks. An anthem for those hazy early sunrise sets.

A lot has changed for Jack Hamill aka Space Dimension Controller since he last graced the wheels of steel at (the first ever) AVA Festival, breaking the internet with his unforgettable Boiler Room debut. In the years since, Hamill has been on a journey just as much as we have. After over a decade in the game he’s quit alcohol, launched a new record label, Tiraquon and streamlined his entire production process. 

Lock in for an hour of out of this world house and techno from the back of the cosmos. It's a blend of intergalactic bleeps and bloops that contrasts the personalities of Space Dimension Controller and the new-age of Tiraquon.

The Dreams Mix

In 2009, I consulted for, and appeared in, Activision's DJ Hero video game.   As part of my involvement, I performed at quite a few industry events and eventually did a couple of club dates.  Some of these sets were more rehearsed than others, and the quality varied.  This one, recorded live on Halloween night at a KCRW benefit, was far and away my favorite of the bunch...both in terms of technical display and song selection.  I'll post some of the other recorded sets later, there's some nice moments along the way.- DJ Shadow
