You can almost feel the protagonist releasing the sorrow. The vulnerability is strangely beautiful & makes you appreciate the piece so much more.  Great performances elevate the piece IIwards the clouds. Lovely songsmith as well.

This song was written when I felt like all hope was lost. The seed of the song came about a week after I received divorce papers. Up until that point I had hoped my marriage could be saved, but this song is about that hope being smashed and replaced with hopelessness, emptiness, and despair. Don't worry though, there's another chapter to come yet: Golden Heart (Part III - Healing)!

Rise To Challenge

For a couple of years I have had a line of work open that is the composition of piano pieces whose harmony is based on the "Tonnetz". The one I'm publishing here is the third one that I compose (the other two are "Parsimonious Trichords" and "Walking by four-note chords") and there would still be a fourth to finish this chapter and that I think I will compose soon.
