In THIS MEANING TODAY, his first full-length album since 2015, Alberto Ricca \ Bienoise accepts the burden of freedom and composes seven tracks that he needed to exist.

Francesco has composed electronic music since 2000 as "tabache" and is a key figure in at least two underground electronic crews/labels Alex is an anglo-naonian singer and multi instru-mentalist. During the lockdown they met secretly to give shape to Lingua Nera the sounds you will hear are the result of sessions and live improvisations built throughout 2020 and 2021 composed mainly with analogue stuff: some synths, a drum machine, loads of guitar fxs and distorsions. The tracks are very diverse but with a common thread that connects them, from weird bluesy chanting (“I don’t want a new guitar”) to psychedelic experimental noisy synths (Parasite). Lyrics from “Poison” and “Warm Up” are written by William Blake.

The lyrics of “Poison” and “Warm Up” are taken from poems by William Blake, while the others talk about police oppression and the evictions of squats in the Bologna area.

A song by Maestro, Trombetta and Tabache. Premiere from 'Erdäpfellaibchen', their upcoming EP of three tracks that will be out by Timeless Records ( https://soundcloud.com/timelessrecords ) on May 13th.

"'Pizza' is a really super weird psychedelic ambient track. Playful, but at the same time able to touch very deep strings. Out of the grids and full of details that we could loop it through for hours."

Erdäpfellaibchen is a three track ep of psychedelic ambient with a mood that perfectly manages to stand between the playful and serious. Each instrument was played live allowing it to exit from grids of a sequencer. They used only analog instruments: some old organs, one ms-20, some samplers, Elektron RYTM and some weird synths.

It's made by tabache (Francesco Tabanelli), Simone Pivetta (Maestro) and his young brother Davide Pighin (Trombetta). Pivetta and Tabache are great friends and met in August 2022 for the last time before Pivetta (Maestro) left Bologna and returned to live in Germany.

So they decided to meet in Pivetta’s studio to say goodbye for the last time and do their first jam session. When tabache arrived he found in Pivetta’s house also his young brother Trombetta that therefore casually joined in the jam. They played all day till night, and the EP is nothing more than the documentation of the 3 most intense moments of those hours.

Pivetta and Tabache are great friends and met in August 2022 for the last time before Pivetta (Maestro) left Bologna and returned to live in Germany. So they decided to meet in Pivetta’s studio to say goodbye for the last time and do their first jam session.
When tabache arrived he repeatedly pushed the doorbell (track1 “Campanello”), then entered and found in Pivetta’s house also his young brother Trombetta that therefore casually joined in the jam. They played all day till night, stopping just for a pizza (track 2) ordered in the “Favela” (track 3) restaurant under their house.
The EP is nothing more than the documentation of the 3 most intense moments of those hours.

It was all composed with analog instruments, some old organs, one ms-20, some samplers, Elektron RYTM and some weird synths.

[Premiere] Maestro, Trombetta, tabache - Favela (Timeless Records)

New track by Hajj ( @hadji-hajj ) & Pithe ( @xxxpithexxx )! This will be included in GUN-X03, the new collaborative project between Club Late Music ( @club-late-music ) & Morsel ( @morsel-tales ). Will be out on November 20th.

Members of the GUN (Global URL Nation) community be asked to made a track with one poem as an inspiration [read below*]. The release comes with a writing zine and all proceeds for the compilation will go towards Medical Aid for Palestinians.

The album oscillates between a sombre, dynamic landscape through a selection of heart-felt ambient tracks to bass driven club rhythms, mirroring the dark melancholic yet heavenly imagery painted in the poem.

PREMIERE :  Mrmaked - Thoughts

Mrmaked makes his debut on Timeless Records with an aesthetic "rediscovered" recording, like a fragment of a lost broadcast.

This project begins during the “Bakkano” art festival, a T.A.Z. in a park that was occupied against the construction of a large infrastructure in Bologna. Three days of installations, concerts, workshops and dances. In those days Mrmaked composed 32 minutes of music which was played on cassette at the end of the big party on Saturday night, late in the morning under the summer sun.

he organic rhythms of Jules Bonnot, and then everything was reworked by tabache in post-production.
The E.P. It's characterized by dense, grainy sound textures, and the tape adds that dirty warmth that makes everything more alive and physical. The improvisational, almost ritualistic approach is strong, with vintage synths that move between ethereal atmospheres and marked rhythmic impulses. Mrmaked sound lies between lo-fi ambient, minimal synth and a touch of primitive industrial.

On this mix, originally appearing on Headphone Commute podcast in May of 2017, we celebrate some of the pioneers of early electronic ambient music, with the help of a long-time contributor, Fingers in the Noise. Here are all of the first explorations into the then unnamed genre, sometimes referred to as avant-garde, new-music, or simply electronic music. Pictured for the cover art of this mix is Laurie Spiegel, an American composer, who, while working in Bell Laboratories in the early 70s, composed with analog synthesizers using interactive software she wrote herself. Some of this music is hard to come by, with the early experiments a bit difficult to digest, so I thank Laurent Bisch for his wonderful selection of tracks for this very special tribute.
