BSV: Somewhere in Mirijevo in 2014 I stumbled upon a free download pack with your track “In Front Of Me”. Artist name was interesting at first, but I didn't know that the producer was from the same country as I am. I used that track in one of my early mixes. Are you impressed?
JELLY FOR THE BABIES: To be honest I used to hear this. When I started producing my main goal was to spread my sounds across the globe and electronic music in my country wasn't so popular like in some other countries... Probably that's why lot of them, who enjoy electronic music, from my country, didn't know I am from here.

BSV: If we compare your production from that period with the current, did you switch more to progressive house style?
JELLY FOR THE BABIES: Well yes. During the period, from my start, till now, my taste in music changed a lot and evolved from electro house more towards deep and progressive house music.

BSV: Are you jeally for the babies? You have kiddos?
JELLY FOR THE BABIES: Don't have kids yet, but will work on that.

BSV: You are the owner of several record labels. How do you manage to read those strong demo emails?
JELLY FOR THE BABIES: I work, a lot.

BSV: Hilly landscapes. Is that your inspiration?
JELLY FOR THE BABIES: And not only that... Long walks through the woods, mountains, hiking... Positive emotions.
 
BSV: So, only kick / drum samples in your production? What’s your fovorite synth vst?
JELLY FOR THE BABIES: Tone Gladiator I used the most, so let's pick that one.

BSV: Do you know how to play a “kolo” and whether you attended piano accordion or button accordion lessons?
JELLY FOR THE BABIES: I knew to play some cause I played harmonica in musical school when I was younger.

Tim Penner's Passenger Ep06 [November 2020]

I’ve got music and a shoulder…

As this brutal year comes to an end, I find myself wondering about what lies ahead. For months I’ve made conscious choices to focus my energy inward instead of spiralling down the toxic terrain around us. I’ve watched friends disappear into darkness through fear, anxiety, and depression. We’re struggling to hold on, find purpose, and even give ourselves a reason to try. 

I find myself laying on the floor staring at the ceiling searching for answers about what the future holds for me, my family, and those around me. Personally, I struggle with the meaning of “success”. What does it mean to be a successful artist, husband, father, son, friend….? 

Straight up, this shit sucks. This year sucked. I hate what it’s done to humanity. I despise what we’ve been doing to each other. I’m sick to think of the repercussions when this is all over.

But… one day it will be over. 

As I sit here with my words I’m thinking about you. Yeah, you…

I need you to know that if you’re struggling with thing, I’m here. I promise you, you’re not alone and you don’t need to struggle feeling that way. I don’t have the answers and I may not be able to make things better, but I can assure you with all my heart, you can at least have someone if you need someone. Don’t even hesitate. I will answer. 

This is what I’ve got right now. 

I’ve got music to help sooth the soul and help take you away for a few hours… and I’ve got a strong shoulder for you to lean on if you need one. 

Stay strong. Be there for one another. Be a pillar for those that need one. Be as positive as possible for yourself and for those around you. Hold on to the light inside… it has a strength that will carry you through.
