Episode #1 - Synth Jazz and Fusion Jazz

I'm excited to introduce a new format within my monthly radio show "Rosenbeth“ on Radio Corax and Radio Tonkuhle. The new series is called "Weird and Wonderful Music.“ In this series, connections between different genres are explored. The first show is about the improvisational elements of jazz mixed with the electronic sounds of synthesizers. The tracks are a personal selection of mine. While this collection is by no means exhaustive, it features many pieces that have either been long-time favorites of mine or new discoveries that have captured my interest. Some tracks lean more towards the synth side, others emphasize the jazz elements, and hopefully, some will hit that perfect sweet spot between the two.

Episode #2 - Art Rock, Prog Rock, Krautrock and Psychedelic Rock

Today, I'm exploring tracks that combine electric guitar, synthesizers, and experimental approaches. Working within specific genres can be challenging, but I think the best fit for today's show includes art rock, kraut rock, and progressive rock. Of course, we'll also be exploring the less familiar areas of these genres. Most of the music comes from the area between the 1960s and 1970s. Towards the end of the show, we'll also listen to more recent songs that are inspired by the music of the 1960s and 1970s. The tracks you'll hear are a personal selection of mine. Although this collection isn't complete, it includes many pieces that have either been long-time favorites or recent discoveries that have caught my interest. Some tracks lean more towards the rock side, others emphasize the synth sounds more, and hopefully, some will hit that perfect sweet spot between the two.
