Powered by the dual songwriting engine room of Simon M. Read and Jonathan Day, Quiet Marauder are a loose collective of musicians all contributing flourishes of cornet, melodica, guitar, piano and kitchen utensil percussion. I Want A Moustache, Dammit sees the band in jovial, bombastic form, describing the steps needed to imitate alpha male icon Burt Reynolds' facial hair. 

Inspired by Harmony Korine's 1997 art-house movie, Gummo, the single concerns itself with masculine discontent, and the desire to become more overtly 'manly'. In this instance, this involves chewing through a paper face of Burt Reynolds to create one's own 'moustache'.

Set against the backdrop of austerity in the UK, South Wales’ unique multimedia artist Little Eris hits back with Wreck n Rollin, an unstoppably rocking power pop anthem that’s heart beats with a social conscience.

‘Wreck n Rollin’ was produced with Charlie Hoskyns and mastered by Topfloor Studios in London. It’s the second official Little Eris(aka Bronwen Davies, former vocalist and bass player with Freaky Fortnight) release through Original Human records, it’s the follow up to her 2012 wondrous synth pop debut ‘So Many Nights’. Wreck n Rollin will be available on 1st May 2014 through all the main digital distributors. Pre-orders will be available through itunes from 3rd April .

Wreck n Rollin is accompanied by a 2 minute 20 second action packed mini B-movie complete with Men in Black, flying saucers and stars like TV actress / model Holly Rivers and Anthony Burns actor/model and Big Brother 13 Wildcard. The video was directed and edited by Alistair Parkhurst, head of Cardiff Independent Film Festival. Filmed on location in Cwmaman, near Aberdare and at the Wells Hotel in Cardiff in the studio of the late Kim Fielding of Tactile Bosch. The Boss scene was filmed in the home office of Welsh broadcaster Nia Medi.

Little Eris has been on the scene since 2008 she previously released a 13 track debut album “Molecules R Us” comprising a collection of demos available as a free download in the spirit of providing music for the masses and to circumvent the credit crunch, which was also released as limited edition CDs featuring personalised DIY artwork. She has shared the stage with Viv Albertine of the Slits, and toured the UK with The Great Wreck and Roll Cirkus alongside festival veterans Here & Now and Eat Static.

King Eider's debut single 'Drink Me Dry' is the first taster of King Eider's work a winding evocative late night bar lament to love lost, tumbling through haunting three part harmonies, acoustic motifs, bass and shuffling drums, through to a wonderful Neil Young-esque harmonica solo.

A talented five-piece hailing from Edinburgh, King Eider craft a modern sound rooted in stripped back musicianship and classic folksy influences. From the loud to the soft, the haunting to the upbeat, the harmonic strength of King Eider lies in their hearty concoction of late night three-part harmonies, acoustic guitar, bass, drums and classical strings.

King Eider have a resounding live history having plotted a route through shows in England and Scotland, including notable gigs at Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s for Communion Records, and London’s Hootenanny. Backed up with live recordings and an encouraging introduction to a recording career through projects at Bainbridge Music, Edinburgh.

King Eider - Drink Me Dry (Single)

he Machismo's is the solo project of Sam Marsh. 

Having gathered critical plaudits as singing drummer from legendary early 90s alt-rockers Jacob's Mouse, Sam began writing and recording as The Machismo's (misplaced apostrophe intentional) around the time of that band's breakup in 1995. 

Self-producing and performing everything himself, Sam recorded two full albums on his home cassette portastudio. A band was loosely put together for live duties, but by the turn of the millenium, Sam had moved on to other projects and The Machismo's albums were put to rest, unreleased. 

Jump forward almost 20 years and Sam suddenly realises that these recordings were BRILLIANT. Whilst not an obvious sequel to Jacob's Mouse's later, deranged output, The Machismo's exude a quietly adventurous spirit, and showcase Sam as a bold, accomplished songwriter, performer and producer. Like Jacob's Mouse, Sam's work as The Machismo's is almost impossible to pigeonhole - you could make comparisons with other singular DIY acts (Guided By Voices? Bright Eyes? Sufjan Stevens? Yo La Tengo?) but these recordings hold their own. 

The Machismo's 1996 debut album, 'Good Things About To Happen', will be released Worldwide via Sturm Und Drang Recordings on Monday 4th August 2013.
