3. Quit Buggin Me

Excessive Force is the 2nd of 2 "etudes" that are included in Splitting Atoms. These etudes are designed to give the basses a chance to showcase their abilities in the form of an I&E or can be taken apart and used as solos.

Excessive Force is written for 6 bass drums, and a portion of it was originally performed by the C.R.E.A.M. Percussion bassline in 2019 for their I&E performance at the 2019 Atlanta Invitational Battle of the Drumlines.

7. Etude #2 - Excessive Force

"Peace Out" is a slight remix of a previous Feature Cadence, "Peace", both of which were performed by Lithonia High School. This 2018 version was performed at PASIC18 in the Drumline Battle, in which Lithonia placed 3rd. This cadence is loosely based off of the song "Motown Philly" by Boyz II Men.

"Peace Out" is written for 4 basses, but a 5 bass option is available.
