The Composers 002 is a distance trip into our podcast station, showcasing a set by Divide who's alias of Davide Maio, Italian Sound Craftsman, one of the true techno quality exponents, also known for his work as one-half of the Syntaxism duo.

The set builds up like an opera but bringing rhythms directly to danceable territories in a complex synth crescendo.

In this piece of art, you can find almost every colour in the techno sound palette, from the ambient intro, to the deeply soundscaped last tracks. In between there is an abundance of beats and synths, evolving from relentless groove spiced with FM bells and resonant bleeps and dubbed subtle synth melodies in jazzy scales.

Random sequences and tight 909 drum workout, and melodies and arpeggios over a shuffled beat, complex evolving to more aggressive sounds approach.
Harshness acts, fat drums and resonant craziness spiced with wise handled distortion, reminded us the best moments of solid nineties techno: high BPM, well cooked chords and 909.
Sequences blend with each other, giving this chaos order feeling as a powerful and unforgettable unique piece.

SR XV YEARS MIXED BY : Crime as Service

En una época de artistas techno que han surgido de las modas pasajeras, aún existen verdaderos profetas del sonido más purista de este estilo musical. Este es el caso de R0w3n, un creyente sin fisuras de una actitud y de una filosofía que apuesta por un sonido vanguardista que respetan los principios y las raíces del TECHNO con mayúsculas.

R0w3n creció escuchando referentes como Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, hasta que descubrió la electrónica más underground y comenzó a escuchar música de artistas más complejos. Aunque en su León natal este tipo de sonido era marginal, R0w3n se abrazó a él para empaparse de su filosofía, asistiendo a todas las salas que programaban aquel estilo musical. En una de esas fiestas cayó rendido ante el sonido de un artista que desconocía por entonces, James Ruskin sirvió de catalizador para una pasión que perdura hasta nuestros días.

A partir de entonces comenzó a consumir compulsivamente los trabajos de artistas como Oscar Mulero, Surgeon, Loktibrada, Christian Wünsch, Exium y Jeff Mills. Su primera experiencia en directo detrás de una mesa de mezclas fue en un pueblecito de León en una alocada rave que terminó clausurada por la Guardia Civil, en mitad de unas bodegas pinchando a vinilo.

Desde entonces ha sido protagonista en las cabinas de Studio 54 (León), Sala Perfil Club (Astorga), La Vaca (Ponferrada),  Caño Malasaña (León) Platform 7 (Valladolid), Dance Guerrilla by Phase.Ctv (Madrid) y algunas raves de las que guarda un gran recuerdo.

Su estilo puede definirse como Techno sin ninguna añadidura, intuitivo y metódico en su faceta de productor. Cuando pincha desconecta totalmente del mundo real, con una conexión mental y cercana con el público. Sus planes para el futuro seguir aprendiendo y disfrutando al máximo cada día.

HiVO es el pseudónimo tras el que Iván cuenta su particular visión de la música. Nacido en Velle (Ourense), comienza la senda electrónica en el año 2010. 

Su primer contacto con el underground, fue principalmente, en un Techno Dub o “Rumano”, fijándose en productores y sellos de su país cuna, Rumania. 

Es en 2017 cuando encuentra en la variedad su gusto; y se fija en el Techno por definición, de diccionario, con pedigrí. Reuniéndose en Takun Techno Club, (Melias, Ourense); desarrolla sus primeros sets más serios. 

En la actualidad HiVO es Dj residente de Kriezberg Club (Vigo), donde teje cada mes con hilo prieto, duro, oscuro, mental… buscando siempre un “desarrollo” constante en sus sets, en los que se aprecie un retal con matices que evoca a la profundidad y seriedad personal. 
 
Ha pinchado en clubs de Galicia como Takun Techno Club, Boa Lua, Black Club, Molotov Club, Coconut Club; logrando llevar su sonido también a Madrid, donde pinchó para “Enter D´Void” en la sala Republik Club, y para la promotora “Symposium” en la Sociedad Utopía y su “Templo del sonido”.

Sometimes music goes beyond itself. Travels through sound in a constant evolution. It runs through rivers of darkness. Slides between every frequency until it opens your mind, carrying the listener to the thin line that separates club culture and musical awareness. This commitment combined with small doses of contemporary art aims to instill a new way of understanding Techno. The result is "T-Label". This collective combines development and perseverance to transport the public to places where it has never been, and where it will never return.

From the union between T-Label and Industrial Copera (Granada), the most underground and avant-garde concept of the club is born, where different disciplines are diluted in a particular aesthetic in order to create an environment in which love, art and respect prevail. This project receives de name of "Vortex".
