My passion for electronic music arose at the early age of sixteen. I made my first experience during the 90ies in Frankfurt where I started to go clubbing to trance music. I felt like I could be who I really am in those places. Places of freedom, where different types of people came together to celebrate life and love. Since then hardly a day goes by without me listenting to electronic music.

Even though trance inspired me a lot in the beginning. I prefer floating, deeply moving and emotional melodic electronic music with straight drums nowadays. I love soulful music tracks with that certain something. However, I am not restricted to asingle style. Every moment has its special sound. That´s whyI like a distinctive mixture of genres.

Dancing and inhaling the music is meditation to me. Listen to my sets, dive into the music and let yourself float away.

Mauro Mondello is the italian stallion of the German dance scene. Born and raised in Dusseldorf but blessed with an Italian Origin, Mondello built up a reputation as dj and promoter but quickly extend his activities to the studio. The result have been releases on acclaimed labels such as Tiger Records, Milk & Sugar Recordings and Time Records. 

Mondello is also one of the Producer head of GOH (Gorillas on Haze) a new Project headed by Reggie Noble aka Redman. A superior form of future House Music, combining styles such as Nudisco, Deep House with influences from Hip-Hop, R&B and Funk.

In a delicately dosed combination of dirty punk sound and soft pop, Florence Besch creates her very own genre: Dream Grunge.

The Luxembourg-born, Düsseldorf-based indie artist transforms her characteristic fragile honesty into powerful, raw energy on the new LP Gathering Hearts (Unique Records), combining dreamy guitar sounds with strong, sincere lyrics from the universe of loneliness and love. Besch’s music, described as Dream Grunge, blending indie lo-fi with dream pop and grunge elements, explores themes of feminism, emotional independence, and personal freedom. Florence Besch and band toured across clubs in Germany, played festivals like Herzberg Festival, New Fall Festival or Breminale as well as shows at Waves Vienna, Reeperbahn Festival, Crossroads Festival, Strasbourg Music Week and supported Paolo Nutini, Françoiz Breut and The Düsseldorf Düsterboys among others. In 2025 Florence Besch is nominated for the popNRW award in the category Outstanding Artist.

One of Germany’s leading house music lights, Boris Dlugosch’s chameleon-like approach has helped him to amass an incredibly enviable catalogue of grooves that continues to grow every year.

Releasing on illustrious labels like Gerd Janson's RUNNING BACK,  Classic Music, Defected, Suara, Toolroom Records and Poker Flat Recordings in recent times, Dlugosch’s chunky basslines, crisp percussion and earworm melodies have found their way to all corners of the house music scene. His successful working relationship with Purple Disco Machine yielded L.O.V.E. and Set It Out, which both hit the #1 spot on Traxsource and the Top 5 on Beatport, as did Peppermint Jam’s 20th anniversary remix package of his classic Keep Pushin’.

Keep Pushin’ was the track that broke him through onto the global house scene in the mid-’90s in a big way. Germany wasn’t exactly a hotbed of house music talent at the time—making him somewhat of a rarity—and it soon became clear with further anthems like Hold Your Head Up High that he was a producer with a serious sense of musicality as well as dancefloor prowess. After this series of club smashes, the big-name remixes started to roll in: Aaliyah, Mary J Blige, Adeva, Randy Crawford… and then came that remix for Moloko’s Sing It Back, a huge crossover track that became the official radio version and hit #4 in the UK Singles Chart. Next came reworks for Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, Jamiroquai, Mariah Carey, Moby…

Eventually growing wearisome of the declining funky house / garage sounds of the era, Dlugosch discovered a new-found love for the French electro scene in the mid-noughties, releasing Bangkok on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound imprint and Cycle on Lektroluv Records (complete with a remix from Etienne De Crecy), with the likes of 2manydjs, Boys Noize and Laurent Garnier all throwing their weight behind his updated sound.

After the electro scene became saturated and the times progressed once again, he metamorphosed into the producer we know him as today, taking a modern approach to classic house music that draws on multiple influences. “I constantly check for new tracks and absorb what’s out there” he says of his hunger for new sounds and styles. “We all change constantly!” he adds of his—and indeed others’—evolution over the years. “I don’t want anyone to pigeonhole me”. And nor should they. When you have as much musical talent as Dlugosch, it’s criminal to keep making the same sounds over and over again.

A Boiler Room Berlin set in 2013 introduced him to a new generation of house music lovers, and his regular In The Mix uploads on SoundCloud give a good idea of what can be heard in his rocking club and festival sets. Upfront house meets garagey classics and disco cut-ups, dashes of electro, acid and deep melodic moments to give a well-rounded selection that perfectly marries house music’s past, present and future. 

He is also an erstwhile label owner, having set up Golden City Sounds in 2013 with Digitalism’s Isi and HEY TODAY!’s Raik Fargo—but the imprint is currently dormant. He’s eyeing up the possibilities of launching a new label, but only when it feels right and makes sense on a creative level. We live in hope.

A true legend who continues delivering the goods today, Boris Dlugosch is one of house music’s real treasures.

“House wears many hats”, ever since and always will…looking back on a colorful and distinguished tour schedule with shows from Sven Väths Cocoon Club and Düsseldorfs legendary Tribehouse, across Germany’s top notch festivals Melt, Pollerwiesen and Parookaville to intimate marathon gigs in Berlins hotshop Sysiphos
 - this determines Ulfs point of view towards stereotypes as well as the understanding of the actual role of a DJ, not desperately sticking to a fixed agenda but exploring the entire range quality electronic music has to offer.

 Going against stereotypes Ulf’s two major residencies speak for itself. 2013 was the year that Ibiza’s club giant Pacha rebuilt its weekly agenda and opened up a new chapter in defining the global music landscape: relatively unknown Solomun started his "Solomun+1" night, John Digweed and MK hosting Friday’s "Insane" and Guy Gerber bringing "The Wisdom of the Glove" on Wednesday. Ulf became a resident for "Insane" and "Wisdom" and kickstarted his career across Ibiza and the rest of Europe.

 Very much the opposite: Hotel Shanghai in Essen, Germany. A small and kinky place in the very raw surrounding of a former coal and steel industry capital. Ulfs monthly residency, alongside German house legend Phil Fuldner, has raised the bar for unique and mind-blowing club nights that bring in popstars as well as DJ icons…

He obviously got ‘his lessons learned’ and since 2014 Ulf reveals his idea of twisted grooves as a producer and remixer - twisted deep, dark but always a little euphoric.

Music is the most important passion.
