I’ve binge-listened through this AU’s soundtrack multiple times now, and I somehow never noticed there wasn’t a Ghost Fight at all. All that time, I thought it did have a Ghost Fight, and the style was just so different I never recognized it as one.

For newer UTSC people, "Fableflip" was a very old Storyswap take way back when. I just used that one because it's easier to combine Schreibertale with Fableflip than "Storyswap" or "Opposite Pages."
"Schreiberstoryswap" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

You might hear some more tracks for this particular variation of Schreibertale throughout the month, mainly themes for the 4 Armageddon Buddies (Luke (me), Aaron, Eric, and Cecil). There's a reason for it, it isn't random. Some of you might already know where I'm going with this. But it will become clearer as we go on.

My mom, Melissa Cross, takes the role of Napstablook. For the most part parents aren't involved in this AU, but my mom has been particularly important to the Schreiber group, serving as an important figure in the lives of quite a few of them. If anyone is the "group's mom," above me I guess it would be her. She actually wrote the lead melody for this song herself, as well as the "Sad Girl" motif featured within it!

"Mal canto" is a term she coined herself, describing her teaching style.
To paraphrase her a bit,
"Bel canto, or "beautiful song" is an Italian style of operatic/classical singing where the emphasis is on beauty. Mal canto, or "bad song," is utilizing the same classical training, but to produce a raw sound that emphasizes authenticity and human emotion over beauty." (i.e. heavy metal screaming, punk music, etc.)

Days to Christmas countdown: 4 days left

Bit of an early post, but here's a "Track 71" for Terraformed and/or Greatershift. I've actually promised this as another 100 followers special in the past and so far it's currently a WIP, but I say I did a pretty good job on this one all things considered. The only thing I'm uncertain about is which motifs to use for the additional piano melodies (the ones at 1:53-2:11/2:31-2:49, 3:46-4:04 and 4:05-4:23/4:24-4:42/5:20-5:38/5:39-5:57), although I may use a modified 2nd part of "Run!" for the bit at 4:43-5:01/5:02-5:20.
