All hushed and still within the house;
Without – all wind and driving rain;
But something whispers to my mind,
Through rain and through the wailing wind,
Never again.
Never again? Why not again?
Memory has power as real as thine

Emily Jane Brontë (30 July 1818 – 19 December 1848) was an English novelist and poet who is best known for her only novel, Wuthering Heights, now considered a classic of English literature. She also published one book of poetry with her sisters Charlotte and Anne titled Poems by Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell with her own poems finding regard as poetic genius.

I was stood standing there all alone,
in a room I assumed on my own,
except for the ghost of my past,
who asked if I cared for a dance.
Said that I'd give it a go, oh, oh.

We took two tiny steps forward and three long strides back,
said it feels like the tracks of my life,
I asked her if she would like to stay,
she just smiled and faded away,
oh my, how I wander.

Amongst the shadows, far from the spotlight,
in the quietness I exsist,
singing and playing, playing and singing,
my heart out.

I was strolling along on the beach,
she appeared again a stretch out of reach,
asked, how do you feel at this moment in time I said,
out of touch and incomplete.

Please tell me that you will stay,
she just smiled and faded away, oh my,
how I wander.

How many rivers must I cross?  I’m tired and I want to lie down,
How many rivers must I cross?  Gotta keep the feeling going

I sent Jon Lock a raggedy track with vocals, keyboards and some of the worst drums I've ever generated. He managed to make beauty in spite of all of that. I dumped those darned drums and mixed it up once I heard the lovely accompaniment he'd made. Thank you @jon-lock-5
