"Jodi’s Pain" is a brooding and climactic rock ballad which tells the story of a woman's escape from a troubled relationship through both the lyrics and music. It represents a departure from my typical bright and hopeful lyrics and tackles a deeply troubling subject.

Jodi's Pain

Born and raised in Western New York, Todd Michael Chapman is a rust-belt inspired melodic rock artist. He received his first guitar around age 7 as a gift from his aunt, learned his first chords from his bass-playing cousin, and began writing songs in his early teens. Todd sang his way through high school and started playing clubs in and around Buffalo, NY at age 17. In his mid-20's, he put music on the back burner to focus on raising a family and building a career in technology. Traveling by airplane for his career, he picked up harmonica to scratch his musical itch while on the road. It was through the harmonica, that he developed an affection for blues and country music adding to his melodic rock roots.
