Over the last few years, Savej has been deeply connected and inspired by the 'Kuya Sessions' as they were being crafted by Poranguí & Liquid Bloom. When they asked him to remix ‘Feathered Serpent’, he was thrilled to be able to rework these historic medicine soundscapes. Utilizing his signature alchemy of cutting edge production techniques with the intention of dissolving stylistic boundaries, Savej has created a magnificent blend of ancient future ceremonial bass music. Listeners will quickly discover that this remix of ‘Feathered Serpent’ is both a primal and mystical journey that bridges the original’s inward connection to Spirit with the outward expression of embodied dance.

It showcases both their sounds in an exciting new way and puts us in a trance the second we press play. Where You Are, Now is the title track of their upcoming album and is the first glimpse into this sound the duo have built together.  It opens with psychedelic sounds of the Sitar and live string instruments that immediately put the listener in a trance, making for an epic build that drops into a perfect bass heavy rhythm that you can’t help but move too.  They continue incorporating the original instruments in a flawless way while still pushing the heavier sound design and booming bass. This blend of styles has us hooked!

Akriza & Māh Ze Tār’s third collaboration is out on Gravitas Recordings June 27th as another stand out single leading up to their full album. Cosmic Odissi builds with tribal rhythms and live string instruments following similar sounds of their previous releases, dropping into a massive kick pattern and 808 hits to get the body moving.  This epic beat continues below the live instrumentation, slowly building into something even bigger.  Large bass growls enter and transform the track into a heavy hitting trappy beat that you can’t help but move to.  All pieced together this track gives us everything we love in one package, seamlessly flowing it all together into a unique sound.

Savej’s full “Entheogenetic” album is coming out on Gravitas Recordings September 29th and is a multi-cultural blend of ancient future and world bass. This genre-bending journey pays homage to various cultures who have influenced Savej and celebrates their history through a new idea of music. This album digs deep into the ancient idea of music and is packed full of influences and collaborations with SOOHAN, Liquid Bloom, Lil Fish, Johnny Buffalo and Ronnā Yawa. The last ‘Wacomaya’ single is donating 100% of proceeds to the non-profit (Futuro Nativo) to support the solar project aimed at acquiring solar panels for Ronnã’s village in the Brazilian Amazon.  Savej’s album uplifts cultures like this through music, and he created a beautiful exploration through different ideas and many ancient traditions under one cohesive journey.
