Raised on the club sounds of 80s/90s Chicago, Jamal Moss’ sound somehow manages to connect the (many) dots between the jacking sound of his city (esp Steve Pointdexter & Adonis) and the cosmic lineage of Sun Ra with a dose of the futuristic sound of Detroit in there too.
