For the first Vicious Creatures show of 2019 @mothball-record boss @hysteric provided a recording of a recent set at Melbourne venue The Toff In Town as a guest mix & @laurencemcaulay was live in the studio for the first hour.

Different parts from 4 tracks of this LP pulled together into one long re-edit of Egyptian disco without all the folky Bellydance bits in between.

Khamis Henkesh - El Disco (Tom Bolas Re-Edit)

Winner of a song contest run by a German underwear and bathing suit company in 1984. The prize was the production of a song with professional musicians - namely this very song. Judging by her rapping skills, the competition must have been a little on the weak side of things... 😆 It needed some seriously cheesy Schlager bits removed and more of the electronic good stuff. Enjoy!

Here is an edit made of the first minute and a half or so of an East German discowave track that in its original form completely changed mid-way through, into a not so enjoyable Rock song, absolutely ruining the vibe.

Tom runs the @averagerecordsbln Youtube channel and reissue label, is behind the "Dancing For Mental Health" parties at Sameheads, sometimes Jeroen van der Smut lets Tom brew coffee at @smuttyedits HQ and he ran the event series "Cosmic Service" in Berlin with Alexander Arpeggio. He has also had his edits and remixes released on labels such as Disco Segreta, Smutty Edits, Violette Szabo and Duca Bianco.
