It's been a minute! Got over Covid, thankfully. Hope everyone is happy and healthy and excited for summer! This mix is a selection of new music, soulful vocals, afro house, tracks, nu-disco & classics . There are some great current vocal tracks out there, with great hooks and performances that I feel get overlooked, I played a few. I records lifespan is real short these days! A note about my programming. When doing a recorded mix I just do what you feel, obviously if in front of a crowd I would program accordingly. Just thought I'd say that. A guest mix for my man Nick Halkes and his partner Andy Smith (Portishead) from last months Reach Up Disco Wonderland show on Soho Radio London. I know Nick since 1990 and he was instrumental in Musto & Bones, Colourblind and my early days with Frankie Bones @ Citibeat/ XL when he worked alongside Tim Palmer, the label mastermind. Nick went on to do many great things, signing The Prodigy @ XL, launching Positiva, signing the Bucketheads and a long string of successes followed with just too many to mention. He is a true music man and I'm proud to call him my friend.
