A little Journey

Vulnerability and emotional surrender
RÜFÜS DU SOL's "Innerbloom" explores vulnerability and emotional surrender in a direct and sensitive way. Chrissy has always been an enthusiastic ‚groupie' of DJs who play music that touches her heart and soul. She has been full of admiration and fascination for their talents to tell musical stories that connect the party people and let them become one unity.  She dreamed of being a DJ herself one day but she never believed in it and was too scared to stand on stage and perform….Then, two years ago some great friends around her encouraged her to realize her dreams and so her own DJ story began…
With her sets and gigs she has found a medium to express her deepest feelings and share them with others. She loves deep, spheric and melancholic tunes. If you know Chrissy personally, you will know about her love for Max Cooper’s sound. She could talk about his versatile creations the whole day and has been influenced a lot by his compositions, live shows and DJ gigs.
As she loves traveling and changing her places of residence, she already has played in various countries like the UK, Ecuador, Egypt and her current residential country Germany. At the moment she is really excited about her first gig in Berlin!

This set is a present for her mother's birthday. It tells the story of Lucia who follows a mysterious dog to the beach on a full moon night....

Tommy started DJ-ing in the late 90's when he was moving between Cape Town and London. This was an incredible time to get into electronic music in Africa and in Europe. Since then he has amassed bags of experience by traveling the world and by opening up to the University of Life. Tommy’s sees his sound as a global snapshot of this beautiful world's music and cultures. He believes that the music we share today was born from Millions of years of Joy and the gathering of our ancestor's. It sits deep in our DNA. Tommy is an avid Afrika Burner, with  ‘Loki the Rhino support crew' and sharing music from the top of Loki the Rhino is his happy place. His favorite times to play are sunset and sunrise.
