Hace mucho tiempo que quise sacar ese mixtape y ahora que salió el sol...es la hora!!

La inspiración de ese mix viene de un concepto sencillo: reimaginar unos temas que me encanta en un estilo cumbiero, más lento, más sabrosos ;) Mientras que estaba terminando mi EP Cumbias Imaquinarias (https://elbuho.bandcamp.com/album/cumbias-imaquinarias-ep) volví a enamorarme de la cumbia y su ritmo delicioso y pues asi nació el mixtape que mezcla todo desde Burial hasta Manu Chao y mucho más...

Espero que disfruten esta selección de música que ya conocen pero tal vez en un nuevo contexto o unos nuevos descubrimientos. Voy a agregar un playlist pronto pero por el momento escucha, disfruta y viaja!!! 🌞 ☀️ 🌞

I have been sitting on this mixtape for a little while now but decided, the sun is shining, it's time for some new music.

This mix is inspired by a simple concept: some tunes I love reimagined in a new context cumbiero. As I was finishing my last EP Cumbias Imaquinarias (https://elbuho.bandcamp.com/album/cumbias-imaquinarias-ep) I  went back to some Cumbia roots and decided to make this slightly mad mixtape of all sorts of music with Cumbia as the thread running through the mix. Everything from Manu Chao to Burial ;)

Hopefully you discover music you know and love in a new light and maybe even some new music ;) I will add a tracklist soon but for now, jump in, immerse yourself and enjoy the Cumbia sunshine!! 🌞 ☀️ 🌞

Nave Migratoria is hosting the Or Noir Sessions at his home and is more than happy to share his first Set. He has been traveling for more than ten years between Europe and South-America and lived for four years in Bogotá. During his stay, he has been digging vinyl all around the country; from the small hidden stores in the bustling capital to the dusty shops of the vibrant Cali, the world class city of Salsa. His sets are composed of traditional Colombian and Latin music such as cumbia, pacific, afro or salsa

So this is my Katzensprung Festival Set @ Laufmasche Floor for the Ruta 40 Showcase. Enjoy these two and half hours of strictly vinyl and straight forward dancefloor oriented music with old and new tunes I have been digging the last few years. The little crowd of friends and dancers gave me a lot of energy and I had so much pleasure playing. One of my favorite's so far I must confess!

2017 Mix (Cosmo-vision)

The inspiration for the second part of Tonton Scülps serial "Raíces De Viaje" comes from a long travel through south america where he had the pleasure to follow the change and similarities of rhythms and culture from country to country. 
My personal journey started in Colombia and continued the Pacific Coast via Ecuador, Peru, Chile all the way down to Argentina and the Brazilian Atlantic Coast. But for this work he also included Folklore from Venezuela, Bolivia, Uruguay, Cuba, French Guiana, Martinique, La Réunion, Cape Verde, Angola, Tibet and India.

By listening carefully one can guess where the "Raíces De Viaje" have travelled to.

Raíces De Viaje Vol. 2 (Amor Por El Folklor)

Moseh Drummist is a Kenyan-born singer, songwriter, music producer and percussionist. In 2018 he released a soulful Afro House track entitled Ndakhuchama - a love song written in a Luhya dialect, native to Kenya.

Village Cuts have taken the track and produced a hypnotic, dubbed-out remix with a bouncing sub bass and an infectious shuffle, fit for dancefloors all across the globe.
