Written to accompany the Mac8 film "Bottle of Notes" commemorating the Oldenburg/Bruggen sculpture erected in Middlesbrough.
The sculptors' initial inspiration revolved around Middlesbrough's association with metal working to provide the materials and Captain James Cook to provide the central ideas of exploration and the phenomenon of eclipse in particular.
Two lines of script, an excerpt from a Cook diary during his first visit to New Zealand, the other from Coojse Van Brugen's `Memo to a Gadfly,` one ascending, one descending, spiral about each other, each periodically eclipsing the other, so creating the bottle form. 

I pretty much missed this abstract cue: the original working title being "the daughters" a reference to The Hesperides.

The Golden Barge

The title is a reference to a book on Italian Horror films and a play on words.
But mental health is no whimsical, laughing matter. Believe you and me.

Ancient winking smiley!
the disc in the image is the Sky Disc of Nebra in Germany, pupported to be a 3,600 year old depiction of the heavens including the pleiades. There was a suggestion of it being fake but I think that's been pretty much disproven. A beautiful thing either way.
