Oh, for the good old days when life was less complicated and appeared far more rosier than our current global situation.

This is a pensive composition and moves along with images from an older woman's past. Ray's music provides a jazz framework for the memories as they flow much as a stream of consciousness, one image after another - a series of Black and White photos from a Brownie camera or the scenes from a silent film. 

There is a lot to take in and the tempo allows the listener to project his or her own thoughts and feelings onto the silver screen of your mind's eye.

[CONCEPT]
Today, we’ve come to witness others’ private lives. In their photos on social media, their lives look perfect. Many of us have found ourselves comparing our lives with theirs. Some may be convinced by the false idea that buying more luxury things and visiting more exotic places would bring them happiness. But I don’t believe this kind of happiness will be long-lasting. Instead, how about starting to pay more attention to what we already have – our things, good health, relationships – etc.? When we appreciate these things and enjoy them, then we can find happiness in our minds.

He had taken an amazing picture of a giant flock of crows in the sky. We were sharing thoughts of the symbolism of the crows at the end of summer. Parts of the lyrics are taken from the original chat.

Our imagination and fantasies always exceed reality. So the best love affair is the one you've never had. It seems to be our human dilemma that we're constantly chasing dreams which will forever remain unfulfilled. But music can give these notions a form and make them come alive. As a singer & songwriter I am attempting to capture these moments. Currently I'm based in Shanghai, China, where I've been involved in several RocknRoll-projects. I want to be and stay myself.
That includes further development.
I was born on January 16, 1976 in Hanau.
I had home organ lessons at the age of 9, then another 2 1/2 years at the piano at the age of 11.
Made his first attempts at composition with his own tracks in 1989.
Started recording more seriously in 1996. During this time I also met Christoph Seipel.
Initially worked with a Quadra 800 and Logic Pro. Then took a few years off for health reasons.
And in 2009 I started the first technoid productions with Reason 5...
Then switched to Ableton; Reaper and Cubase. Later also Fruity Loops. At the moment I mainly use Ableton as my DAW. I mainly only use software synths. As a master keyboard I use a Yamaha P60, a Korg Concert E120, am Arturia Polybrute, an Arturia Keylab 61 MKII, a Maschine Sudio from Native Instruments, a Roland MC-505,
Audio interfaces: a Behringer U-Phoria 204hd, a Phonic Helix Board 12 Plus and a Creative X-Fi Fatility Champion, UAD Apollo Twin USB
I now use an Austrian Audio OC818 Black Studio Set as a microphone. As a monitor I have a JBL LSR-305/aktiv and Yamahas, a Teufel Cinebase and a Logitech Z5500. and a Gameboy Advanced with Nanoloop 2.7. I've also made tracks with the Roland MC-909 and the Gameboy Advanced with Nanoloop 2.7.
