This month features another label debut, and from one of the hardest working ladies in the industry, we present to you Dawn Lee; exhibiting a real beefy number with its off-beat bass line, complimented by gentle plucks that add harmonic elements to an otherwise meaty track. The breakdown is dominated by an array of energetic hoovers that would satisfy the most finicky of Hard House enthusiasts; with all of this leading toward a fantastically sounding pitch-bended build up and a seriously naughty kickback. A great contribution to the label’s growing list of heavy hitters, and we are thrilled to have Dawn as a part of the Hammerheads team.

TBHH025 BabzookaZ - The Sexy South
So this month sees Hammerheads label manager Aaron James submit a contribution to the Hammerheads collection, under a newly derived alias that sees him collaborate with his better half Barbie. This track features an out of the ordinary rolling bassline, with some gritty mechanical sounds to compliment the bona fide vocal hook that arrives later rather nicely. Before the breakdown the bass changes to a typical roller and follows a new riff that takes the reins and leads us into the breakdown. Now inject the dialogue from one of Human Traffics’ Moff’s infamous scenes (“I knew you wouldn’t let me down… I KNEW IT!”), as the main lead and various percussions slowly filter up we reach an intense kickback that packs a punch! Throw in some hoovers and a rasping sound to suit, all before a second vocal hook appears, and we then find ourselves at a mini break where a different yet more ferocious hoover and subtle acid line finish the track. Expect to hear oodles more from this pair as they explore the wonderful world of engineering for themselves!
