TBHH030 Aaron James & James Nardi - Break Free
February’s release brings us a monster collaboration between Hammerheads manager Aaron James and Scorpion Trax’s head honcho James Nardi. It features a mixture of low rumbling basslines, piercing percussion and lots of gnarly growls before some lighter, more melodic elements enter to give the track a contrasting depth. Then we have the main lead make a short appearance in a question and answer conversation with the previously heard melodies, at which point they take us into the breakdown where we hear a warming pulse take charge as a middle-eastern gated vocal filters up. The once lighter melodies now evolve into something more sinister as the main lead steals the show building toward the kick back where that eerie vocal shines through once again. The main section of the track is full of energy, being driven by that distinctive Virus lead, and later features all the previously heard elements throughout the rest of the  arrangement.
