His music was covered by countless international stars, like The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Ringo Star, Natalie Cole, a.m.m. . His music lives on and is loved by so many modern Balearic/Soft Disco musicians/producers from today.

Parisian producer DOCTORSOUL is a longtime TSTD collaborateur. These reworks for Michael Franks have been floating around the internet for some time, we are so proud to finally give them an official release!
The D.J. / Remix & Music producer / Sound Designer has collaborated with many artists and bands from diverse genres even in Jazz, bringing production remixes for the likes of legendary Tania Maria, Jeff Cascaro, Mandoo & Interview to name just a few!

Poolside (Los Angeles) exclusive compilation remix 
Poolside is the recording project of producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Paradise. The Poolside project began in a converted Los Angeles backyard pool house in early 2011 when Paradise (back then with his partner Filip/Turbotito) set out on a low-stakes journey to produce appropriately chill music for summer soirées. The pair envisioned a light but danceable kind of music with sunny vibes and liquid rhythms that they dubbed "Daytime disco". Since then, Poolside has released five acclaimed albums – “Pacific Standard Time” (2012), “Heat“ (2017), “Low Season” (2020), “High Season” (2021), and “Blame It All On Love” (2023). Poolside are one of our longest companions in the small (but perfectly formed) universe of slow sunset disco. “Ventura Highway Blues” was our favorite track from his last album, it just needed a slightly more beat-focused version and who better to take remix action than Mexico’s Monsieur Van Pratt. This is the first track released by Poolside since he lost everything in the L.A. wildfires – so a heartfelt kudos to him for rediscovering the joy and sharing it with us.

MONSIEUR VAN PRATT: 
founder of Super Spicy Records, is a prominent producer and DJ originally from Mexico City, whose influence on electronic music is widely recognized both nationally and internationally. With an impressive career that includes more than 100 releases in digital format and 26 on vinyl, which consolidate him as a key figure in the genre. 

His music has been released by prestigious record labels such as Toy Tonics, The Disco Express, Tropical Disco Records and Buddha Bar, among others, underlining his status on the global scene. His ability to fuse genres, attention and styles has captured that of critics and the public, leading him to collaborate and remix a series of renowned international and national artists. Recently he raised some eyballs with his dub remix for Poolside on The Sunset Manifesto Vol 2.

Among his most notable collaborations are works with Derrick McKenzie, drummer of Jamiroquai; Drop Out Orchestra, Art Of Tones, amongst others. Each of these collaborations has allowed him to explore new musi-cal dimensions, enriching his characteristic sound with diverse and fresh influences.

With a musical style deeply rooted in disco, funk and jazz, Monsieur Van Pratt combines classical elements with contemporary touches, creating a sound experience that is both nostalgic and innovative. His work not only stands out for its technical quality, but also for its ability to connect emotionally with the listener, making him a central figure in the evolution of modern dance sound.

I've been a loooong time fan of this much sought after feel-good track, originally recorded in 1982 by Miss Randy Crawford, and it was not easy finding a new production that could have new ideas for teh dance floor while staying true to its breezy flava...
So I spent 2 years working back and forth on it, improving the step by step work flow on Keyboards, Bass and Drums... Until I ended up with ultimate and Remastered version.
