DJ-MIX: Tropical Autumn 2014 (a laidback Mix Of Modern Sad - Beach - Disco by DJ Supermarkt)

This is a really special dj-mix I did in january 2008, which sounds really modern and "now"! Way back then I was totally disillusionized by the hard soulless electro music I was forced to play in the clubs where I was booked (you know I had to pay my rent somehow..). I really love the mix up until now, because it is clubby, but really smooth, silky and already sounds a lot like the solution I found a little bit later: stop playing that boring functional club-music and get back to what you LOVE (which lead to Too Slow To Disco in the end, thank GOD)! It's just my head wasn't "there" and ready yet in 2008!

by the way: "t.y.t.t.s." is a track by Jeans Team, which means: TAKE YOUR TIME TO SHIT! (thats how i felt....)

As a regular follower of NOTHING BUT HOPE AND PASSION you might know that we fell in love with the Too Slow To Disco party and sampler series a while ago. So, if you’re still not familiar with the work of DJ Supermarkt I highly recommend you to read this feature story with the man himself from 2016. Over the past two years Marcus Liesenfeld, the man behind the DJ alias continued to establish himself as an expert for smooth disco vibes, yachtrock and other forgotten pop delicacies from the golden age of analogue recordings. He just released the latest installment of the series, Too Slow To Disco Brasil, compiled by Ed Motta, a true expert of Brazilian soul and funk classics. Needless to say it became another truly satisfying summer soundtrack.

Today, we are thrilled to have DJ Supermarkt back at the NBHAP sound delivery service with a brand new and exclusive DJ-Mix. But this time it goes beyond the yacht club party and straight into space as the acclaimed DJ delivers a selection that’s even slower than any picks from his usual set-up. So, it totally makes sense to name this one Smooth Music For Your Next Space Travel as it’s the sort of sound the Arctic Monkeys would also play in their fictive moon-based Tranquility Base Hotel, right? DJ-Mix: TROPICAL AUTUMN (Lazy, mellow, modern, funky Synth-Disco by DJ Supermarkt)

I had this idea of doing a spring/summer mix complete with a lazy L.A. daytime disco sunshine vibe, but the wheather surrounding me asks for a autumn mix! Well, maybe my mix will help this thing called summer to arrive in Europe.. This will be a very long "modern L.A. Evening Lazer-Synth-Disco"-mix, because as you can see this is only part 1 and the slow beginning for early evenings. The Late Night-mix will follow soon. If you glue the two parts together you will have a full night on the dancefloor of my dream, going from relaxed to clubby (not too clubby, don't worry..) Guess what part 2 is called...?
