My Entry for a Halloween Theme Competition. Very much inspired by the eery John Carpenter soundtrack for the film - The Fog, this being the theme for the End Titles.  Made using the Five12 Numerology sequencer, Madrona Labs Aalto and Kaivo, Mixed in Logic with some additional crappy whine and hiss added for that VHS-tape feel (test oscillators), bad compression and pumping mastering added.

A 'Bus', No driver!
You, looking out the window?  

you see something nice, maybe beautiful flowers, blue sky and you shout up the bus... "Hay Driver" "Lets stop here and have a picnic" but the bus doesn't stop. Then the journey takes you to a smelly dark place. Burning rubbish, shopping trolley in the river, maybe an atomic waste ground? you shout up the bus..."Hay Driver" "Hurry up! don't like it here, go fast" the bus neither goes fast to get by nasty things or slows down for nice things. There isn't a driver, life is a driverless bus   ...maybe?

Becoming more inspired with live improvisational approaches which are posted here and/ or on YouTube, alongside other tracks produced using Ableton and various hardware & software instruments.

Maria Soini grew up immersed in music since early childhood. And her early electronic influences: italo disco, electro and synth pop remain at the core of her sound as a deejay today, decades later. Maria's style is rich in detail, full of melodies and strong vocals. Whilst she combines genres boldly, moving between styles and moods, her mixes and sets are always harmoniously tightly bound together.

The lady's roots and life experiences shine through in her musical catalogue, which entails quite some Finnish productions, particularly from artists and labels hailing from her hometown Turku, as well as many Dutch influences since Maria lived in the Hague in her early twenties. Labels such as X0X Records, Viewlexx, Bunker and Clone are often represented in her record selections.
