Following on from their acclaimed debut ‘Nightfall’ - supported by everyone from Diplo to Skream to Claude VonStroke and Groove Armada - house producer extraordinaire Donovans and vocalist Mai Lan Chapiron team up for a second scintillating round of action as Little Freaky Things. What began as a chance MySpace meeting has led to a fruitful collaborative partnership
with a very exciting future.

‘Saturne’ is a slice of delicately crafted electronic pop that recalls the likes of Au Revoir Simone and Annie on the vocal front, and Hudson Mohawke at his more chilled in its sonic textures. Syrupy, heavily phasered lead lines glide atop booming 808 bass and warm, airy pads in sublime synergy, making for a classy slice of radio-friendly electronica.

Eero Johannes’ version slows the tempo down and injects a flurry of woozy, colorful synths to create a bonafide summer stereo slammer,

Tout juste un an après leur 1er EP soutenu par la presse (Billboard, Les Inrocks, Mixmag, Elle..) et par leurs pairs (Gonzales, Yuksek, The Magician…), LITTLE FREAKY THINGS est de retour. La collaboration entre MAÏ LAN et Nicolas Nekmouche aka DONOVANS continue, cette fois-ci sous la forme d’un single : SATURNE.

Derrière ce titre spatial, se cache une balade « Cloud-Pop » qui nous embarque dans un trip halluciné, une ode à la légèreté empreinte de torpeur. Les arpeggios mystérieux élèvent l’esprit tandis que les boomers de 808 rappellent à l’ordre le corps avec son groove nonchalant.

Côté remixes, Nicolas fondateur de 11HEADS RECORDS maison mère de LFT, s’est entouré de la fine fleur de la musique électronique européenne et nous offre un instantané de ce qui ce fait de mieux sur le vieux continent, en la matière:

EERO JOHANNES, originaire de Finlande, il est la tête de proue du mouvement Skweee, qui mélange synthés chiptune et rythmique R’n’B. Découverte scandinave de la 1ère compile Sound Pellegrino, il ouvre les festivités avec sa funk venu du froid, qui donne à Saturne des allures de hit Pop futuriste.
