Alan Heart: DJ, Curator of Musical Journeys

South African-born Alan Heart has been crafting musical experiences for over three decades. He began DJing at 18, eventually opening for the legendary Fatboy Slim on his first South African tour and performing at prestigious events, including the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Now based in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, Alan has found his rhythm in the Ecstatic Dance community. Inspired by practices like the Five Rhythms, his seamless blends of downtempo, folktronica, and world music guide dancers and soul-seekers through intuitive movement and deeply immersive experiences. His sets are more than dancing—they’re invitations to explore, reflect, and connect through the power of music and movement, a testament to his adaptability in the ever-evolving world of sound.
When he’s not behind the decks, Alan can be found cycling mountain roads, enjoying a quiet coffee while refining his next mix, or hosting joyous sound journeys from his adopted home.
