I could fill an entire book, every year again, when I return from that week in the forest.
New Healing is not just a festival. Healing is an inner journey. Healing is adventure. Healing is family. Healing is a temple.
It is a reality filled with wonders and magic, created by ourselves – all together.
Or, as Conference-Jens would say: “A hippie boot camp, a utopia laboratory for progressive behavior.”
I am endlessly grateful that I was able to share my art on the wonderful Expression Stage this year. And I've rarely felt more held and at home – surrounded by crystals, whispering trees, rays of sunlight, and drifting mist. 
Thank you. For dancing, for the radiant grins, for the fearless expressions of who we truly are. For creating a one-week-world that feels like a dream — that is real, because we live it.
New Healing is the magic we make of it — and the magic we become..

Ich wollte ein wenig überraschen, ein wenig treiben – und so ist ein lebendiges, vielseitiges Set entstanden, das den Sonntag belebt.
Vielen Dank an all die großartigen Menschen, die dabei waren und diesen Moment mit mir gefeiert haben! ✨

In the Beginning There Was Techno – by Tornadotoni

This set was recorded for the Techno-Sekretariat — episode #10 on YouTube — with Techno as the main theme.
It reflects my own definition of Techno — the way I experienced it in the early ’90s.

Back then, Techno could be very fast, and also warm, emotional, and full of depth.
I remember it as something that carried energy and soul at the same time — an umbrella for many electronic styles that were just emerging and constantly evolving.

In the early ’90s, there were usually three floors: a Techno floor, a House floor, and a Chill-out room with Ambient DJs.
On the Techno floor, you’d hear everything — Progressive House, Acid, Trance, Breakbeat, Detroit Techno and many more — all mixed together. It wasn’t about the big drop yet; it was a journey, one where you never knew exactly where you’d end up.

That sense of exploration still fascinates me today. I love sets that take you by the hand and lead you somewhere unexpected — and that’s what I try to keep alive in my own way.

I get bored with sets that feel predictable — like films where you already know the ending. That’s why this mix includes moments that surprise, wake you up, or take you somewhere different. That’s my signature: I play eclectically, following emotion rather than formula.

For me, Techno is something that shaped my life — it took me around the world, connected me with a community, and gave me that unique sense of freedom. Without Techno, I probably wouldn’t even live in Berlin.

So yes — in the beginning there was Techno. At least for me.

Ich kann kaum beschreiben, wie ich mich zwischen Euphorie und Nervosität gefühlt habe, aber sagen wir mal so: der Bass hat gebrettert und es hat unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht. Es war ein wilder Ritt durch Magenkribbeln, Bindfaden-Regen, Notfallabdeckung für die Technik, Bass Face, dem obligatorischen Kaufmann-Track und dem Gänsehaut-Closing-Track von Rad.Lez. 
Und falls sich wer gefragt haben sollte, wie lange ich mir Gedanken zu Intro und Outro gemacht habe: Ja. Aber hört selbst! 
Danke an das wundervolle Woodstoig-Team für die EInladung. Danke fürs Tanzen und Regen aushalten. Es war einfach wundervoll.

DISTELFINK malt mit seiner Musik die ganz großen Gefühle in den Himmel. Und wer schon einmal auf seinem Dancefloor in einem Regenbogen aus Farben dahingeschmolzen ist, während ihm der Bass bis in den Hals klopfte, erinnert sich, warum wir uns mal alle in die elektronische Musik verliebt haben. 

In unserem neuen Heißhunger lädt DISTELFINK auf ein 12 Gänge fine dining Menu ein:   massierende Bässe, treibende Hi Hats, euphorische Synths und ganz zum Schluss ein letzter Abschiedskuss aus der Küche.

Це було, мабуть, уперше, коли під час усього процесу написання я не міг стримати сліз радості та натхнення, що супроводжувалися перехопленим диханням. Тепер у мене є він — можливо, не модний, але на 100% такий, що потрапляє просто в серце й душу. І тепер він є і у вас, мої любі слухачі. 

On one warm evening, without any hints or expectations, my beloved brought home this atmospheric and emotional feeling that later transformed into a track. It stayed in my mind for a long time, and ultimately became the inspiration for creating this piece of art. It was probably the first time when, throughout the entire writing process, I couldn’t hold back tears of joy and inspiration, accompanied by breathless excitement. Now I have it — maybe not trendy, but 100% heartfelt, touching the soul and striking straight to the heart. And now it’s yours too, my dear listeners.

Tornadotoni, who was born and raised in Bellinzona  (the italian part of Switzerland), is a Berlin based DJ and Founder of the FLINTAQ* Artist collective Femunity. Since childhood she was a vivid music lover.  
At the age of eight she bought her first record and that was a big turning point in her life. For the next decades, one could find Toni getting lost in time & space at the best record stores all over the world, growing her diverse vinyl collection. Six years ago, Miss Yetti-a dear friend of hers & one of the first female electronic DJs around- asked Tornadotoni to DJ at her birthday party. Since then, she devotedly shares her passion for music and enjoys the magical connection that comes from dancing.
