Marlie's musical journey began in London, leaving her hometown of Sydney in search of greater opportunities.
The European nightlife exposure enriched her with a vast range of musical styles and sub-genres, culminating in her mastery of percussive Minimal House and Techno.
Her DJ sets are artfully curated, blending tracks from her collection to craft immersive stories that transcend the ordinary. She has graced prestigious venues and parties like Fabric, DC10, FUSE and Shelter. While also founding her own project "Roots" back in Sydney, which later made its mark in London, fostering a community of forward-thinking music enthusiasts.
Marlie's passion for her signature sound, ever-evolving, continues to resonate with audiences on dancefloors worldwide.

Over the years the Gipsy Kings—whose members hail from the gypsy settlements in Arles and Montpelier in the south of France—have included singers and guitarists from the Reyes (Canut, Nicolas, Pablo and Patchai) and Baliardo families (Diego, Paco and Tonino). Lead singer Nicolas Reyes is the son of famed Flamenco singer José Reyes, who, with Manitas de Plata, sold millions of records in the 1960s and 70s. The band’s vigorous guitar work and passionate vocals are the trademarks of an indigenous musical tradition known as “rumba flamenca.”

There are no other examples of a non-English speaking band (the group’s language is the Gypsy dialect of gitane) with such a consistent winning streak in the U.S., where the group is the biggest-selling French act ever. Since the 1987 release of the international hit single “Bamboleo,” from their platinum-selling eponymous debut album, the Gipsy Kings have dominated the World Music charts and sold more than fourteen million albums worldwide—more than four million in the United States alone. Their platinum compilation, The Best of the Gipsy Kings, was on the charts for more than a year.

RLZ MUSIC label boss, Rowlanz has already been established as a serious
talent in the scene. A strong back catalogue of releases has formed a solid
foundation from which he continues to push his musical career.

Throughout much of 2014 and 2015, he worked closely alongside London
based label, Arupa Music. He has also recently released on a number of
respected labels including LDN, Tupiar and TVIR.

Rowlanz has received continued support from heavyweights, such as,
Raresh, Enzo Siragusa, Rhadoo, Janeret, Varhat plus many more from the
underground circuit.

2018 was a very productive year for Rowlanz, releasing on many various,
respected labels and remix support from some several of the scenes top
players. 

2020 is looking even stronger, with upcoming releases on London’s
Infuse label, an EP for German label, Pleasure Zone, Included on the 5 years
of Politics of dancing VA and many many more releases throughout the
year.

Having now settled on two different styles of production, Rowlanz has since
embarked on his own solo venture in the form of RLZ MUSIC - a vinyl only
imprint in which his own productions are showcased on each release,
complemented by one guest remixer. Expect everything from Melodicinspired
House grooves, to more stripped back, minimal rollers.

The year ahead looks promising for rising UK talent, Rowlanz and could be a
memorable artist for the future.
