The time has come, we hit exactly 20 years since the launch of Dirt Crew Recordings back in 2004. An incredible journey lays behind us with so many discovered artists and even more amazing tunes we first heard as demo and brought to life either on Wax, CD or Digital. As we never look back too much we decided to not give you another “Best of” but instead drop 15 brand new tunes by early and more recent artists that have released with us in these past years.

The result is a really broad spectrum of what makes up the style of the label, from Deep House to Disco and Electronica to Electro, these fifteen cuts represent the richness of dance music in our little universe. Dig into this playlist and discover the Dirt Crew sound.

Frozilla is a German DJ, producer and label owner from Frankfurt (Main). Since 2016 he's been based in Berlin. He's one of the co-founders of Frankfurt/Amsterdam, now Berlin based record label LowMoneyMusiciove. In addition to that he's also the manager and a&r of his very own imprint System Error and all of its sub-labels (Party Bombs, Fresh Tunez, ...). He organizes and books both LMML & System Error events in Club der Visionäre, Hoppetosse & Renate in Berlin as well as their international showcases, curates the Sundowner Mix, interview and event series together with Ines Cartas as well as holding a monthly residency at Berlin's Renate club.He plays an eclectic sound mixing various genres from house to drum & bass, breakbeat, techno and trance always trying to take the listener on a new journey through music bringing his very own taste to the dancefloor.

MixCult Records is glad to introduce its new release, deeply curated various artists compilation that will take one journeying through resonant realms within Deep and Dub Techno. It boasts a lineup that features renowned artists such as Kirill Matveev, Genning, TM Shuffle, and Nicolas Barnes. Now this record offers four compelling tracks with rich sonic textures and emotive depths, characteristic of the genre.

A1: Eric Louis - Voice Memo Original: The first track, "Voice Memo" by Eric Louis, is purely an introspective personal record. Soft pulsations of the bass weave in and out of haunting melodic vocal samples to create an atmosphere that is strong and enduring.

A2: Kirill Matveev - Never Losing That Track Genning Remix: The second offering is Kirill Matveev's "Never Losing That Track", remixed with the masterly touch of Genning. The track builds on the core of the original with added layers of rhythm and heavenly synths soaring above the driving beat. It raises the energy a notch without losing the sophistication, with melodic elements perfectly laced into pulsating basslines. A track that makes the listener immerse themselves in the song: upbeat, yet wistful, so that listeners can get lost within the depth of the sound. The track is designed for those who love to dance at sunrise.

B1: TM Shuffle – Artist by the time the B-side gets underway, TM Shuffle brings the past to the present via "Artist", a rock-solid track now pressed on vinyla gain with some of the very best of strong dub techno sound which we love when mood-setters take over the dancefloors. This track invites introspection, drawing listeners into its depths as they explore the nuances of sound that define the dub techno genre.

B2: Nicolas Barnes - Outro: The "Outro" by Nicolas Barnes is a reflective, ambient conclusion to the journey. This track wraps up the listener in a soothing embrace of lush soundscapes with soft melodies. It's a meditation of the experience, with the stillness of quieted moments ringing deep. The spacious nature of the composition invites listeners into their reflection of this auditory voyage they've just embarked upon. Outro" - demurely deep, summing up the release and leaving its memory in a head long after it really fades. For sure, one of those tracks you do not want to forget while performing a warm-up set.

Every track represents a different exploration of sound, all combined to tell one story that resonates deep and with elegance. The vinyl release of the album is a must-have for any lover of immersive music, as it will invite listeners to get lost within captivating soundscapes.

The artist has been putting out solid string of releases recently on various labels for you to check out and now has landed a 12” vinyl with Exarde. As a label More Rice has mainly focused on artists from Asia, and this compilation is no different, its to show how diverse and eclectic the Asian scene is at the moment, with many different sounds coming out of different cities and countries. 6. Jesse You - Plastic Syndrome

Hailing from the vibrant streets of São Paulo, Dru is a DJ and producer whose passion for music runs deep. Rooted in the minimal and microhouse genres, Dru has been captivating audiences and earning recognition from some of the most respected names in the industry. His tracks have garnered support from heavyweights like Mihai Pol, Giuliano Lomonte, and Raresh, and his artistic journey continues to soar.

With a foundation in music that started in childhood – learning piano from his grandmother and experimenting with guitar at age 12 – Dru’s love for sound evolved into a career as a producer and DJ. From his humble beginnings experimenting with Ableton’s free trial, to playing his first gig as part of a duo at a 12-year-old’s birthday party, Dru’s journey has been marked by passion, persistence, and an ever-evolving sound.

Now pursuing his solo path, Dru is carving out a space in the minimal scene with unique productions and a vision to revive the genre in Brazil. His work on vinyl and digital releases, including those from his own labels Totoyov and Microdots, reflects his commitment to showcasing both established and emerging talent.

Having made his international debut in London and with plans for a European tour in 2025, Dru is an artist to watch. Whether collaborating with industry titans or drawing inspiration from new musical experiences, Dru continues to push boundaries and craft music that resonates on a global scale. Planar Traits is the alias of Scottish producer Callum Nixon. Nixon has been steadily building a reputation for his conceptual approach to electronic music from his current home base in Stockholm. Nixon’s work often balances introspective soundscapes with functional high energy elements. His 2021 release "Portal Vision" on Magic Carpet introduced his thoughtful style and his latest three-track EP, "Frequency Slip" on Echocentric Records, continues this exploration.

A key player in South Korea’s blooming electronic scene, Jesse You has already begun to build an impressive discography. His name already adorns several top-flight releases for labels such as NUGNET (Limousine Dream), Exarde, Planka Records, and his own imprint, Walls and Pals and 2025 is set to continue in this vein. As well as being prolific inside the studio, this South Korean is just as productive in the DJ booth. His skills have been deployed to most corners of Asia and have seen performances at the likes of Wonderfruit Festival, The Air House, and for those looking for a regular masterclass, he now helms new Seoul venue SX as resident selector.

For this week's InSession mix, we find Jesse You in the groove at SX, a new haven for electronic music in the heart of South Korea. This mix could not be more hot off the press as it was recorded live a matter of hours ago and with a bag of the finest wax spanning 30 years, Jesse soon begins working his way through the gears. From wonky deepness, crunchy noise snare driven house, and poignant vocal gems. With Asia’s underground scene undergoing a tasty period of growth, Jesse You is a prime example of the calibre of music that can be found.

Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
