An hour of new musical ideas surrounded by good friends at Sustain Release :)  

In this set I test a lot of new sonic directions, leaning into my love of spiraling synth lines, tactile drums, and sounds that evoke playful little creatures (so I've been told) :D

This was my first time at Sustain and I'm so grateful it was memorable. Big thanks to everyone who got freaky with me in the Gymnasium! I know there were a lot of other options...

One disclaimer : For the first 5 minutes of this set I couldn't  really hear my monitors (time for in-ears I think). But know that what you hear sounded way better in the room :P

'Power' is a soul elixir; a techno anthem for the alienated and disaffected. Starting with syncopated wood percussion and then a growling bassline, it pulses with raw rave energy. It then features a growing arpeggiator that soars over the drums and bass and creates blissful entrancement. It is a song that bathes the listener in positive energy and is meant to inspire more than just joy and dancing. It is a loud reminder that whoever can hear it has the power to do anything.

'Dope' is a sultry prowl into the depths of passion. Percussive noise and a deep kick drum drive it while filtered bongos and dancing wood percussion take it higher. The distorted vocal hypnotizes and the dark stab creates a mood of intrigue and curiosity.
