Touch Of Class is proud to deliver its first digital single of 2017, a springtime gem entitled, “On the Shelf” featuring vocals by the talented, Amelia — recorded and produced by Dan Berkson and James What. The production partners are individually known for making their marks in the underground electronic scene, both with releases on various notable labels including Crosstown Rebels and Poker Flat, while also running their own imprint, Modelmaker Records.

The five track EP consists of the duo’s original single which is laid down with a driving, tantalizing bass line met with the melodic lyrics of North Carolina based vocalist, Amelia. The jazzy rhodes and vocal edits interlace delicately with swung out percussive drum patterns creating a timeless garage-house, summer tune sure to get any dancefloor moving.

“On the Shelf” is accompanied by four eclectic remixes, each satisfying a disparate moment and sound while respectfully preserving the essence of the original record. Brooklyn’s underground house hero, Jovonn, contributes with a stripped down dub version arranged with heavy drums and a simplistic take on the vocal arrangement — an essential tune for any selector. Chicago legend, Roy Davis Jr., follows up with a peak time interpretation, a perfect jam for the club and festival vibes.

The third remix comes from Grammy winning producer and sound engineer, Dave Robertson, also known as Cameo Culture, who after hearing the tune was instantly reminded of an old Matthew Herbert record, inspiring his use of “real” and organic drum sounds. Cameo’s remix evokes this natural aesthetic throughout, artfully recrafting the original arrangement and composition. The final rendition of the release comes from label founders, Michael Tello and Ray Zuniga aka. Signal Flow. The dynamic duo’s lively rendition presents a melodious, yet groovy journey influenced by their diverse musical palettes and Latin heritage.

The imprint kicks off its fourth year as the new and enriched, Touch Of Class Music, with a full and dynamic release schedule to be distributed worldwide on digital format only. Recognized for its selective and sophisticated sound, the label’s catalogue of timeless anthems promises to be appreciated by all music enthusiasts. A music lover all his life, he brings his passion to his sets as well as his broad palette of influences and sounds, creating deep sonic landscapes complete with peaks and valleys.

More than being an eclectic music selector, Nii Tei’s craft consists on building an environment. Shifting styles unexpectedly, he knows how to keep a dancefloor on their toes and his careful curating makes sure there´s something for everyone to love in his sessions. PillowTalk is more than a whispered chat before bed but is that groovy, soulful, electronic music band who have been gifting you songs from the heart since 2011. Born that summer in the Lower Haight District of San Francisco by original members Sammy Doyle, Michael Tello and Ryan Williams, and recently joined full time by longtime friend and collaborator Shane Duryea, their music fuses the sounds of classic R&B, boogie and disco with underground house and indie dance. 
						
These gentlemen are known for their hard work in the studio with releases out on Crew Love, Visionquest, Life & Death, Wolf + Lamb, Circus Company, Kompakt, Bang The Box, D-Edge, and remixes for Groove Armada, Kasper Bjork, DJ Tennis, HVOB, Laid Back, Soul Clap, W+L, Nick Monaco, Frivolous, Midnight Magic, Future Generations, Set Mo and Lonely Boy. With non-stop touring around the world, PillowTalk never ceases to surprise their listeners with classic edits and collaborations with artists such as: Ruede Hagelstein, DJ Tennis, Thugfucker, Deniz Kurtel, Tone Of Arc and Navid Izadi, just to name a few. 

2017 shined its bright light on their release, Black Paradise on Crew Love Records with the Italian duo, LowHeads. They also generated some eclectic, soulful, deep and acid remixes for Nick Monaco, B. Bravo and 2 Block Radius. 2018 is shaped up to be a huge year for the band with the launch of their own imprint, PillowTalk Music. The boys kicked things off with the first release, Hold Me Down, in December of 2017 and have another all original release, Been A Long Time, in February, before releasing All People, the follow up to the classic 2014 album Je Ne Sais Quoi, just in time for summer. About to kick off another worldwide tour in 2019, these boys are at it non-stop. 

The first PillowTalk album is the second highest selling album in Wolf + Lamb history next to Nicolas Jarr and their entire catalogue is constantly heard and found on all online streaming services worldwide. 

PillowTalk’s music is as much a soundtrack to long nights as it is to lazy days —there is something about each of their records that covers the span of living: sun-splashed jams, peak-time party tunes and low-lit moments of intimacy.
